Why!?

Sean's P.O.V

I've been sitting on the couch for hours just staring out the window with my chin resting on my folded hands. Sy has gone silent on me, something has to give in this situation. My thoughts were broken due to Sy walking into the living room, looking up to see that same dreadful look on her face breaks my heart, our daughter is in the wind with Kenneth, and Kelly...that should have never happened.

Me:"Are you not going to speak to me at all?"

She sat down beside me looking towards the floor,

Sylas:"I have no words right now.."

Pulling her into my arms I ran my fingers through her hair feeling tears sting my eyes,

Me:"It's okay, we will make them suffer for this."
Sylas:"I'm not sure we can."

Leaning back a bit to look at her, her eyes finally looked into mine.

Me:"We can and we will even if I have to do this on my own."
Sylas:"I can't allow that I'll just lose you as well."
Me:"No, you won't."

The front door opened causing me to let go of Sy to grab my gun, standing up I aimed it down the hallway to see Nick and Adalind who looked scared. Sighing lowly I lowered my arm then sat the gun down,

Nick:"Sorry, you never answered my calls."
Me:"You called?"
Nick:"Yea I've been calling for over an hour."
Me:"Sorry I was inside my head before Sy came down."

Sy was quick to get off the couch to hug Nick, after she let go she smiled lightly at Adalind before looking to me.

Sylas:"Adalind can stay here. She won't be harmed I'm too numb to even attempt anything."
Nick:"Thank you Sy."
Adalind:"I'm sorry about your mother.."
Sylas:"Thank you.. so do you know if it's a boy or a girl?"

Adalind smiled then looked to Nick who nodded,

Adalind:"It's a boy."
Sylas:"That's good, well he'll be safe here."
Nick:"I'm staying as well."
Me:"Of course."
Sylas:"The guest room is yours for however long you need it."
Nick:"Just until I find a place for Adalind and I."
Sylas:"Have you checked on Trubel?"
Nick:"Yea, whoever took her down cracked one of her ribs but other than that she'll be out in a day or two."
Sylas:"Good."
Nick:"Sean, we need to talk."
Sylas:"I'll show Adalind to the room then."

Sylas's P.O.V

Walking into the guest room with Adalind was a bit of a change for me especially with what she had put all of us through.

Me:"It's big enough to hold you two including the baby."
Adalind:"Sylas.."

Looking towards her I could see the pained look on her face,

Adalind:"Thank you for this, I truly am sorry for what I put you guys through. It won't happen again."
Me:"Don't mention it and I hope it doesn't."
Adalind:"It won't, I don't even want to be a Hexenbeist anymore."
Me:"You don't?"

Adalind shook her head no then smiled a bit,

Adalind:"Being a Hexenbeist is nothing but chaos and with a child being on the way that's nothing they need to witness."
Me:"Now that? I can agree with you on."
Adalind:"I'm sure, I didn't know your daughter was that powerful."
Me:"There's things about her that Sean and I have no clue about."
Adalind:"Well, she'll have both of her parents to teach her."
Me:"Honestly? I hope we find her soon before who knows what the Royals have put in her head."
Adalind:"Nothing good, with my time with the Royals it was never pleasant."
Me:"I can only imagine."

Letting out a small sigh I looked at her again,

Me:"What did Nick do to make you so angry?"

Adalind rolled her eyes then smiled softly,
