Chapter 21
"Tita Kei!" I run my way to tita Kei. She gave me one of those bear hugs she does whenever we see each other. God, how I missed her.
"Oh my God. It's been ages since I last saw you, my dear. How are you?" She's like a mother to me ever since I met her. She's one of the best, of course aside from mom.
"I'm fine naman po, Tita." Bigla naman akong napasimangot nung ma-alala kong matagal na pala siya dito sa Pilipinas pero hindi man lang niya ako pinuntahan. "Kaso nakakatampo ka po, ni hindi mo man lang ako dinalaw despite na matagal ka ng nandito sa Pilipinas." Paglalabas ko ng sama ng loob.
"Aww. Sorry my dear, medyo busy kasi ako sa company ngayon. But really, I'm planning to visit you as soon as I'm done with my current project." Paliwanag naman nito. She led me inside. Umupo kami sa isa sa mga massive couches na nakadisplay sa living room nila. "So, magkakilala na pala kayo ni Kev?" tanong pa nito, gesturing at Kevin na I guess ay pumunta sa Kitchen.
"Oh, opo. Classmates po kami. Hindi nga po ako makapaniwalang anak niyo siya e." Sagot ko naman.
Sa totoo lang ang alam ko lang ay may dalawang anak si tita Kei but I never met any of them. Hindi naman kasi sila sumasama kapag nagkikita kami ni tita Kei sa Japan. Even sa mga family gathering. Mailap e. But I never cared anyway since they were boys and I already had enough boys in my life. No need for some more. Joke.
But there's something about Tita Kei's reaction. It's like she already figured a way out to a labyrinth. She looked more than amazed.
"So," she said then look at Kevin who's in the kitchen right now. We could see him from
our seat. He's doing something like he's pouring somethinng to a mug. "It could have been that the Yulie that Kevin was talking about lately is you, my dear, Yulie." she said more to herself. Wait, why would Kevin talk about me in the first place? "Unless may classmate pa kayong 'Yulie' din ang name, which I hope is wala na."
"Uhm, Tita?" I called her. She snap her head in my direction. A wide smile was plastered in her face.
"Oh my God!" She squirm like a teenager that finally got the chance to see her idol. Gosh. And because of that ay napatakbo si Kevin sa may living room to check what the heck happened to her mom.
"Mom, what happened?" Pag-aalala ni Kevin. Si tita Kei naman ay parang nananaginip nang gising, she just smirk at Kevin.
"Ikaw, anak ha? So si Yulie yon di ba?" She said then wiggled her brows. Nanlaki naman agad yung mata ni Kevin.
"What the! Mom, what did you tell her?" Bakas yung kaba sa boses ni Kevin.
Oh-kay? What the Heck is happening? Wala akong magets? But one thing is for sure, ako yung pinag-uusapan nila.
"I knew it!!! I knew it! Oh my God!" Yung expression ni tita Kei ay parang nanalo sa lotto. Yung type na sa sobrang tuwa ay akala mong nabaliw na at any moment ay magf-faint na. Ganun yung reaction niya ngayon. Habang si Kevin naman ay mukhang iritado na sa Mom niya.
