It felt like only yesterday that students had returned to Hogwarts after the Christmas break. Sebastian and I had decided to stay at Hogwarts during the break, spending our time together, going on romantic dates, and enjoying the quiet halls of the castle. Our feelings for each other had only grown stronger, and I found myself falling more in love with him every day.

Ominis had also stayed with us during the break, providing us with endless entertainment and banter. We had spent many nights in the common room, playing games and chatting until the early hours of the morning.

For the past few weeks, my lack of sleep had been taking a toll on me ever since I received the mysterious parchment note. I was on edge, trying to figure out the identity of the person behind the initial 'R' and how they knew about my ancient magic ability.

I had been feeling overwhelmed with assignments lately, so when I finally got a free period, I knew exactly where I wanted to go: the Undercroft. It was a quiet and peaceful place, perfect for studying without any distractions. Sebastian is currently in his class, and I got a practice exam that's coming up.

I had been there for a few minutes, trying to organize my notes when I heard someone else enter the room. I looked up to see Ominis walking towards me.

"Hey, Ella," he greeted me with a smile. "Mind if I join you?"

"Not at all.... but damn Salazar you are good; I didn't say anything, and you still know it's me." I replied, happy to have some company.

Ominis chuckled at my comment, "Yeah, I have a talent, plus my sense of smell never fails me. Unless, of course, Sebastian starts wearing your perfume."

I chuckled at his playful jab. "I don't think that's his style." I couldn't help but marvel at Ominis' abilities. Despite his lack of sight, he seemed to see the world in a different way than most people.

We fell into a comfortable silence as we studied and worked on our assignments. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that I wasn't alone in my struggles. Ominis was a good student, and I knew that he would be able to help me with anything I was struggling with.

After a while, Ominis started making jokes about Sebastian and me, teasing me about stealing his best friend. "So, how's it going with Sebastian?" he asked with a grin.

I rolled my eyes, but a smile played at the corner of my lips. "It's going well, thank you very much. He's a keeper, you know that."

Ominis let out a chuckle. "Oh yeah? Just remember, he's not the only fish in the sea."

I laughed at Ominis' comment, shaking my head. "Please, Ominis, I'm not interested in fishing. I've already caught the best one."

Ominis pretended to look offended. "Hey, what am I, chopped liver?" he joked, before breaking into a grin. "Just kidding, El. Just make sure you don't let him get too cocky. Someone needs to keep him in line," he teased.

I rolled my eyes again, but this time, I couldn't hide the laughter that escaped me. "I'll keep that in mind," I replied with a smirk. "But let's be real, we both know he can't handle me."

Ominis laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're probably right, El. You're a force to be reckoned with."

We continued to banter back and forth, teasing each other about our study habits and favourite classes. It was nice to have someone to joke around with, to lighten the mood and make studying a little more bearable.

Eventually, the conversation turned to Sebastian and his confession of feelings towards me. Ominis expressed his support for our relationship and gave Sebastian advice on how to approach me.
