The first night on the ship, [Y/N] had one of the worst sleeps of her entire life. There were two bunk beds and one hammock; Zane, Kai, Cole, and Jay slept on the bunks, and Nya slept on the hammock that only fit one person. [Y/N] slept on the floor on a tiny, thin mat. By the time she closed her eyes, it was practically morning, and Wu was waking them up.
"Evil doesn't sleep, and neither should you!" Wu woke them up by hitting a gong, and everyone groaned while getting up. "To reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity," he told them.
As Kai got up, he spoke, "Okay, okay, we're up. But if you want us to reach our full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest?" He yawned, walking over to a window with blinds, about to open them, but as he touched it, they broke and fell on the ground. "I maybe got a solid hour of rest, and that's it," [Y/N] rubbed her tired eyes.
"You call that a rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress," Cole added, stretching his back. "[Y/N], at least you have a mattress," [Y/N] shot back, "Ok, well, next time, I don't know, we could share a bed or something," Cole argued.
"Wait, what!?" [Y/N] exclaimed, a little shocked by what he said, "Ha, no way are you sleeping with Cole; you wouldn't get any sleep due to his loud snoring," Jay commented, embarrassing Cole, as he walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Jay put some toothpaste on his toothbrush and went to start the tap, but only dirt came out. He shrugged and put the toothbrush in his mouth before spitting the toothpaste out, tasting the dirt in his mouth.
"What is our lesson today, Sensei? Mastering the strike of the Scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of—" Zane started making different stances before he fell through the ground, coughing as dust flew up.
"I think today's lesson would be chores," Wu explained. "Chores?!" The ninjas all shrieked. "Ninjas fight, Sensei. They do not clean," Cole said.
"In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things to be spotless when I return. And put your backs into it," Wu went on and banged his gong one last time.
