Chapter 4: Friend

Cloves POV
Cato has been dropping and picking me up for a while now. He won't let me go anywhere without him taking me. I swear he's always either carrying me or taking me in his car! I can barely go anywhere on my feet. So I decided to go earlier than when he picks me up and I'm walking on the sidewalk to the training center when a car pulls up next to me. I roll my eyes knowing it's him. He rolls down the window and says "clover. Get in..I know your freezing over there" he says with a chuckle "I need to keep my physique Cato just let me walk!" "I- clove...please just get in" he says with his puppy eyes and sweet voice and I sigh so I just shake my head saying no.

He sighs and says "your really gonna make me do this alright" he says as he parks the car and goes up to me "last chance to walk to the car clover" he says I don't understand til I know what he's gonna do but when I'm about to open my mouth he takes me over his shoulder and puts me in the passenger seat "help! He's kidnapping me!" I say in a playful tone

Once he gets into the drivers seat he starts driving, "also your physique is fine clover, your beautiful" I just look at him confused not knowing what to say all I feel is heat rushing up to my cheeks. I quickly take a look at the mirror and see I'm blushing so I look at the window fast! I don't want him to see me like that! But I can't help noticing I may be falling for him...it's so weird he used to be an asshole but he changed so much...but I guess...he just sees me as a friend. Don't get me wrong I love him as a friend but I can't help but want more...He makes me feel good about myself he makes me feel wanted and the truth is...he is the only person who has ever made me feel wanted or cared for. "Clover! Clove!" He yelled while shaking me out of my little trance

"Oh sorry" "it's fine clover but we need to train"he says with a chuckle as he walks to the swords and I follow "since I taught you knives only fair you teach me" I say while crossing my arms "hey! You taught me cus you lost a spar" "fine how bout you teach me if I win you teach me the swords but if you win you don't need to"

He smirks and says "okay clover" while he walks to the mat, but I have a strategy. I take off my shirt to reveal a sports bra and he instantly gets distracted and that's when I charge and knock him down instantly however I am very small and he flipped us over and pinned me to the mat with a smirk but I slide under him and jump on his back however he didn't go down! He twisted me and I ended up being straddled on his waist and he was practically carrying me and he ended up pinning me to the wall. We seem to be stuck in a trance with each other
Finally he breaks the silence "good strategy, distracting me clover but I still won" he says with a wink "it's not fair! Your so much bigger than me !!" And that's when we realize my legs are still on his waist and he's carrying me "um you can let me go-." "I-oh yea sorry clover I know you said I didn't have to teach you if I won but I'll teach you anyways cus I'm just nice like that" he says with a wink as he puts me down. I roll my eyes and follow him to the swords section. "K so position you sword like this" he says as he comes behind me and positions it for me "alright now start swinging" I start swinging and with the way the sword is positioned I cut through the dummies really fast "what the hell you might be better than me clover!" "Nah your still better I'm better with knives" i wink at him and go to the knives. By the time we're done I'm so tired "alright clover time to go home." He says while picking me up on his shoulder "Hey!! I can walk you know!"I say while punching at his back, he laughs and just as we're walking out of the building we are met with farina "um...goodnight?" She says we both awkwardly laugh but Cato doesn't put me down "bye!" He says as he runs out with me on his shoulder and he loads me into the car "hmph I'm not talking to you!" "Why??!" He asks as we near my house "did I make you upset" his voice turns into a whisper "Cato I'm kidding I'm kidding I'm sorry" I say as he parks the car but we stare each other in the eyes again "um...goodnight" i say as I turn away and leave the car. I sigh as I enter the house I think I've fallen in love with him...too bad he only sees me as a friend .
