"Okay, so let's catch up on the seven main points we've discussed thus far?" I asked the group.

The group had ages from sixteen all the way to thirty-five, and they all trusted me.

Ben, Lucas, and Jonah all enrolled in the course.

We weren't immediately going to start with the practical stuff, they needed to know basic points before we do anything.

"Always be in a group," a girl spoke up, I believe her name was Jessica.

"Yes!" I pointed at her. "What else?"

"No shiny, bright colored or glowing stuff," another person said and I nodded.

"Avoid dusk and dawn," another one spoke.

"Correct, and why do we avoid dusk and dawn?" I asked and the group went quiet. "That's okay, I'll remind you. Most sharks are crepuscular in their feeding habits (they mainly feed at dawn and dusk). So, that's when they are actively searching for food. And that's why we avoid diving with sharks during dawn or dusk."

The group nodded. "Okay, we mentioned four other things, can someone name them all?"

"Remain calm if a shark approaches you, remember that sharks need their own personal space, too, always stay alert, and avoid large mammals like seals when swimming, as you could end up under a shark's radar by accident," the youngest girl in the group said.

"Excellent job!" I smiled. "Okay, I know it's still pretty boring right now as we didn't jump in a pool to start working. But we can't just blindly jump in now, can we?"

I felt my phone vibrate several times in my pocket, but I couldn't ignore the group and check my phone.

The group shook their heads. "Okay, now we'll deep dive into the point of what to do if a shark approaches you when you're free diving."

Jonah, Lucas, and Ben straightened up, focusing more.

I could tell they were still not over everything that happened. Neither was I, but it's a work in progress.

An hour later, we were done with the first lesson. Many people approached me after we were done and thanked me.

I felt great that I was helping many people learn safety protocols. Things were finally starting to get better.

"Leon?"
