Enid was sound asleep in their dorm, Enid was hugging the trophy to her chest. Y/n was nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Wednesday was sitting at her desk, typing on her typewriter.

"Nevermore continues to be an enigma.
A place where the questions far
outweigh the answers."

Wednesday glanced to the right and saw the
ripped page with the drawing on the table. She picked it up and held it to the light again.

"But sometimes...the answer is staring
you right in the face."

...

Wednesday entered the quad and saw Y/n sitting on the fountain. She was looking at the sunset, reading.

Wednesday walked over. "What are you doing?"

Y/n closed her book and looked towards the voice to see Wednesday. Y/n didn't respond, but instead got up and left. Wednesday was confused on what was wrong.

Wednesday turned to go down the hallway that had the Edgar Allan Poe at the end of it.

Wednesday took out a flashlight and engines it
up at the statue's face.

"Don't worry Edgar Allan. I see your
sanctimonious smirk. But I will get the
last laugh."

Wednesday stood on the base of the statue, which lifted her higher so she could see what was written on her book.

"Your penchant for riddle was legendary. And this might be your cleverest yet."

Wednesday shined the flashlight on the book,
and saw several small riddles carved in both the
pages.

"Because it's not just a single riddle.
Rather each line is it's own separate
one."

Wednesday pulled out a notebook and looked
back at the little riddles.

'The opposite of moon.' Sun."

"'A world between ours.' Nether.

"'Two months before June.' April."

"A self-seeding flower.' Pansy."

"'One more than one. 'Two."

'It's leaves weep to the ground. 'Willow."

"'It melts in the sun.' Ice."

'It's beginning and end never found.'
Circle."

"'Every rule has one.' Exception.

Wednesday hopped off the statue and took a few steps away from it. She looked down at her answers and noticed the first letter of each word spelt something:

Sun
Nether
April
Pansy
Two
Willow
Ice
Circle
Exception

"The answer will give a sharp cracking
sound."

Wednesday smirked and turned back towards
the statue. She raised her hand and snapped twice.

The arm of the statue that held the raven,
moved in front of the body, and the whole
statues moved backwards to reveal a secret
passage.

Wednesday entered the passage and started walking down a flight of stairs. All along
the wall by the stairs, we're pictures of people
who were probably former members.

Wednesday made it to the bottom of the stairs
and found herself in a circular room with
bookshelves, and other paintings and pictures.

On the floor was the symbol of the Nightshades.

"Secret societies. Hidden libraries.

Wednesday paused when she saw a picture of her
parents hanging on the wall.

"My mother staring at me in a judgmental way. These are all things I've come to expect."

Next to the picture was another picture but of a different family. The family looked similar to someone she knew.

Wednesday shrugged it off and walked towards a bookshelf. She noticed a line of dust had been cleared away in front of one of the books, indicating that it had been recently taken out.

Wednesday grabbed the book, and flipped
through it, until she came to the other page of
the illustration Rowan had showed her.

Wednesday closed the book and shoved it in her
bag.

"But the minute I inch closer to the
truth...

Wednesday turned around, only to have
someone cover her face with a black cloth and
drag her away.

"Luckily, I'm not afraid of the dark."
