"I know you know. There is no way you don't", She said to me in an assuming tone. Well at least I know she doesn't think I'm an idiot. I nodded at her before finishing my slice of pizza.

"Yes, I know. But what do you know about it? And how do you know?", I asked her as she finished her pizza slice too.

"One, I know they are part of a mafia group that control Italy, mostly because when I went to school, many people spoke of it and I had no friends because of it. And two, I saw something one day that made everything click. I didn't believe the people at school until that day. How did you find out?", She told me, before giving me a look of curiosity.

"I got in a bit of trouble, saw a few things myself. Do they know you know?", I asked her, now with curiosity in my voice as she smiled at me.

"You're kidding? They would have so many questions for me and I would rather they didn't know to be honest. It's fun to mess with them", She said with a grin as she got another slice of pizza, starting with the crust this time.

"Mess with them?", I asked her with a small smile as she grinned at me even more.

"Yeah, like when they go out and I ask them where they are going and if I can go, when they say no obviously I pretend to get upset. It's funny", She said with a smile as I stared at her in shock.

"Manipulation you mean?", I asked her with a straight face as she rolled her eyes at me.

"Look, I get whatever I want whenever I do that, trust me, it comes in handy. Especially when the devils are about crying to their mothers", She replied to me in a calm tone, unbothered that she was completely deceiving her family.

"Devils?", I asked her as she looked out the window with a sigh and another rolling of the eyes.

"Yep. You know the three girls you saw standing with the aunts?", She asked me as I nodded at her.

"Well, they all hate me, always have and always will and whenever they get upset it's a huge issue within the family", She said in an annoyed tone, although something told me it wasn't just them.

"I thought because you were the youngest you were like the most important one in the family", I asked her as she shook her head.

"No, practically I was, I mean, I've always had bodyguards and maids that have done everything for me but I was never treated how the devils are, you see, my mother is a complete free spirit and she decided that she didn't want to get married again after my father left us. But our grandparents believe I was born out of wedlock and that isn't traditional in Italy. So when they heard about you, they were super excited. They always liked your mum from what I've heard but Charlie they are weird about", She said to me quickly, it seemed that she was just happy to talk to someone about it.

"Why, what did Charlie do?", I asked her with curiosity but she shook her head.

"Not a clue, they stopped talking and I quickly got out of there before they realised I was listening", She replied back, slowly chewing on her pizza still. I nodded at her as we both sat for a few minutes in silence. It was just silence though, it was no longer awkward.

"What about your mother then? If we know what happened then we can try and figure out why they don't like Charlie", She said with a grin as her eyes were suddenly full of mischief.

"They seemed to like Charlie though when they first met him", I said with a confused tone, wondering what he could of done to upset anyone. She shrugged her shoulders at me as she turned to the window once more, pointing at the lights in the garden.

"Don't know that is just what I heard from them. Anyway, want to know a cool secret about this place?", She said to me with a smile, her pizza showing in her mouth as she spoke. Gross. I nodded with a small smile of my own.

"Gosh, you don't talk much do you?", She said to me with a giggle as I nodded once more, feeling a sense of comfort from our conversation. I was still on edge with her of course, one conversation will not make me trust someone, however right now she seemed rather genuine.

"Anyway, those lights in the distance is the edge of the property, and that trail of light there gives you a good guide on how to get there. I know there are hundreds of lights but if you notice the trail has a small blue light at the bottom. That's if something goes wrong here and we can quickly get away", She said with a small smile, sighing at me. I nodded at her with a small smile of my own.

"Look, I know we might of gotten off on the wrong foot, but I really need a friend in here and the devils aren't exactly the nicest people to get along with. Will you be my friend Sam? I am loyal as can be", She said loudly as she stood on the sill, raising her arms up in the air to show her pretend muscles.

I laughed at her stupidest as she grinned at me. She quickly sat back down in her seat as she stared at me. There was no harm in trying to be friends, although I have James which I still need to find out is alright, another friend wouldn't be the worst idea. I nodded slowly as she jumped up in her seat in excitement.

"Awesome! Okay lets go then", She said trying to grab my hand to leave. I quickly pulled it away as she stopped smiling.

"I don't like being touched", I said quietly as she nodded, apologising as she cleaning the crumbs of her clothes.

"Okay that's fine, lets go", She said once more, guiding her hand towards the door as if to say "after you". I looked at her with a confused look on my face.

"We are off to grandpa's office to fine out what their problem is with Charlie!", She said with a grin, skipping to the door. I sighed as I followed, I wanted to wait for Charlie but I knew this is the smartest thing to do in this moment, and I really wanted to know what he did to upset them this way.

As long as we don't get caught of course!
