Hope you're doing alright. It's been a while since we headed back home. Remember when you told me to write to you whenever I feel lost? Well, I can't understand why I'm writing to you, maybe I'm really lost?
Life here in District 5 has been a roller coaster since the Hunger Games. Coming back to my normal routine hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be. The games changed me, Haymitch. Sometimes it feels like a blur, but the memories of the arena keeps coming back to haunt me.
I bet District 12 holds its own mix of emotions for you. Coming home must be bitter, but sweet. I wonder how you manage it all, the expectations - the pressure.
I feel stupid writing this letter to you, since I actually thought they were pretty stupid.. I just wanted you to know I'm trying this now, only because I want to, not because of your words (maybe a little though)...
