𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑬𝑳 ~ 𝑨𝑳𝑬𝑪 𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑾𝑶𝑶𝑫

Date with Alec

"Is it 7 already?" I ask looking at him as he nods "I lost track of time, sorry" I say

"It's okay, I don't have a problem waiting a little longer knowing my date looks like this," he flirts

"You look gorgeous" he whispers

"Just give me a minute and then we can leave," I say as he nods and I put on my heels "shall we," I say as he nods

We walk past Jace, Clary and Isabelle as they watch us leave

"I was hoping to go somewhere crowded for a while before dinner, Are you okay with it?" I ask as he nods

"I'm fine with anything, The date will be of your choice," he says as I call a cab and we get settled watching the city

As we enter the place Alec looks at me in confusion "Don't worry, you'll enjoy yourself" I held his hand navigating through the crowd as he tightened his grip

We have some snacks first around the carnival and shop around for a while, then decided to take some rest as we sat down

"You seem to like this place a lot. I didn't knew you like all this," he said as we sat for a while

"There's a lot you don't know about me, I like to keep my public and private life apart. No one knows everything about me," I say as we share a drink

"I'm glad I got a chance then," He said moving closer as we held hands

My eyes wander around and stop at a small animal shelter as I tug the sleeve of his jacket as he looks to where I'm pointing

"Come on" I say grinning ear to ear as he looks over to me

The lady there leads us to a playpen full of puppies as I enter and sit in between them immediately getting swarmed by puppies running around. Alec watches me from a distance as I play with the puppies

He quietly records a video and clicks some pictures while i'm busy playing, upon request he also finally joins in as I hand the puppy in my hands to him

He gently kisses it on the head as I quickly take a picture and keep my phone away

"I didn't knew he would be so loving towards animals. I might've started liking you Alexander Lightwood" I thought looking over to him as we leave for dinner

"I know you don't like crowds I hope you enjoyed today," I asked placing our order

"How did you know?" He asked

"You have been hanging out with Izzy and Jace your whole life and I haven't seen you talking rest of the staff, ever."

"I enjoyed it. Tell me why didn't we did this before?" He says as I laugh

"Because I didn't knew if I could trust you?" I said placing a hand on his chest and pushing him away playfully as he furrows his eyebrows

"And why do you trust me now?"

"I can't tell the answer to that but you did a lot for me more, so I decided to give you a chance" I reply enjoying our dinner

"What would you be if not the head of the institute?"

"I would become a teacher or a leader"

"A teacher why?"

"Because the number of shadow-hunters today are less than they were before and I wanna make the ready one's more skilled for future" he explains as I listen to him speaking

"Your turn what would you have been if not both a shadowhunter and a witch"

"I love my job as an agent saving the people which I'm loyal to even now. So I would continue it to a full time job" I say as he nods

We sit there enjoying each other's company as a girl approaches Alec asking for his number

"Sorry, I already have someone" he says as I smile

"He's someone's tonight but unfortunately not yours" I say as she shoots me a glare and leaves while we laugh at her reaction

"I didn't knew even you get jealous" he says taking a sip of his drink

"Who says i'm jealous and for you. No" I avoiding the question knowing I have started to have feelings for him

"Then why did you send those girls off while I was training and you even answered this one back" a smirk follows his lips as he asks

"I didn't send anyone off, they saw me and went away. And if you want" I explain getting up "I can call her back" as he grabs my waist

"I don't need anyone except you. Remember that," he stares into my eyes

It was time to head back as I head to the washroom, I saw a shadow more like a person standing at a distance

As I moved closer it turned out to be Eric. My breath starts getting un-even and hands starting sweating as he said "we'll meet soon"

I rush back to the table and leave the restaurant without saying a word while Alec tried to get me to speak

We went to his room first to drop off the gifts I got for him, he has a table at the entrance and a cupboard and other stuff

"I thought you should see what I got for you"
I say keeping the bags on the table

Leaving the gifts I reached for the door as he stopped me "I enjoyed my time with you. I would love to go out again" he said

"I enjoyed it too, and thanks for being patient during the festival" I replied

"I enjoyed the festival with you." He says as I remember my encounter with Eric which made me shiver

"Good night Alec" I said and leaning forward and giving him a kiss. I pull back realising that he hasn't moved

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have done that" I pull back cursing myself for making it awkward and turn to leave as he pulled me back

"You did nothing wrong," he says watching me closely as he smashes his lips on mine with his hand on my waist as I drop the bags

We both smile as he kisses me back pulls me to him while I wrap my hands around his neck deepening the kiss as we lean into each other. His hands move from my waist to my neck as he kisses my jaw then my neck as I entangle my fingers in his hair as he moves down to my collarbone and spins me around leaving a trail of soft kisses behind my neck

He settles me on the bed while kissing as one of his arm is on my cheek and the other placed on top of mine stopping me from getting away as the fear of Eric strikes again inside me as I pushed him away

He was shocked by this sudden push but slowly nodded sitting beside me "It's okay if you're not comfortable. I'm here if you want to talk or even not" he comforted me as I smiled

"I'll see you tomorrow, Good night Alec" I say picking the bags from the ground as he comes over and quietly zips up of my dress

"What's bothering you? Tell me please, I won't be able to help if I don't know what it is?" He asks concerned by my state as I keep my gaze fixated on the ground

"For god's sake speak up Ronnie!!" He yelled grabbing me by the shoulders as I dropped the bags scared by his sudden outburst

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have shouted, I'm sorry Veronica."

"It's okay" I replied cutting him mid-sentence as I cleared my throat, wiped away the tears and left while he tried apologising in the distance

Locking my bedroom door I crouched down crying bringing the knees to my chest to calm my breathing down after a while I went to the mirror and saw the mark he gave me as my eyes were swollen from crying and my nose had turned red, as I examined the messy state I was in

"No matter where you go, I'll find you" I saw Eric's reflection in the mirror as I wiped away the tears

"I won't let you" I turn around only to find everything normal

"You'll be mine and only mine," He said as I take a step back and smashed the vase on the mirror crying
