The Mortal Cup

I took a few rounds among the crowd and saw one person in particular who would tremble and hesitate as I passed by him every time with the rod in my hands. I got the intuition of who it was as I was now just waiting for someone to bring the handcuffs so I could put the guy behind bars

I turned around and saw Alaric standing I walk up to him with the others by his side

"Got what I asked for?" I asked  as he handed over the handcuffs to me

"On time," I say as he doesn't let go

"What is it Alaric? I don't have time for games, I'm here for work" I say folding my hands together

"I wanted to apologize for my behavior. I should have told you guys about it" he explained looking at me and Clary

"It's okay Alaric, I forgive you," Clary says as she smiles all of them look at Alaric and then he turns to me 

"I'll see if I can forgive you or not for now I'm in the mood of work. You know what to do," I ask as he nods firmly

"Good," I say walking away with the handcuffs

I walk back in and stand behind the person. As he stood comfortably I covered his mouth with my hand and handcuffed his hands with the other one as struggled against my grip

"Shh, don't move. if you don't want me to cause a lot of pain then I suggest you stay still or else..."  I whisper in his ears as he tries to straighten up

I quietly get him back out of the office as Jace, Clary, Isabelle, and Alec watch me move him out being impressed. I get him out and push him towards Alaric as Jason ends the meeting and comes over

"You don't know what you're doing, you guys will pay for this "  the guy blurted out

"We know exactly what we're doing. But it looks like you don't " Jason said as I smirked

"You thought you'll steal evidence from that pile of files and we won't even notice. Come on how stupid do you think of yourself, coming in here and pretending to be one of us? As if we don't know our officers " I said clutching him by his jaw as he grunts as Jace and Alec watched me

"I'm glad we had you two here, or else I wouldn't have got to know that some evidence went missing,"  Victor says as we turn around

"You don't need to thank us, Victor, it was all Veronica who came up with the idea" Jason complimented me as I smiled

"Well I would say it was teamwork, I figured it out. The meeting was his idea to lure this guy out." I winked at Victor as he laughed nodding

"Well now he's over to you guys, I'll be inside if you need me," He says as we nod and he walks back in as Jason and I both give each other

"You can go Alaric, we'll handle it from here, " Jason says as Alaric nods and hands over the guy to him

"Well, I'm not in the mood so you can go first," I say as I look over to Jason and smile as he nods in agreement. I walk over to the railing and lean against it as he pushes the guy to his knees

"I guess I asked you guys to get to the institute 20 minutes ago? Why are you all still here?" I look at Alec, Izzy, Clary, and Jace in confusion

"We wanted to see you in action, can't blame us if you look this good and we wanted to see your work," Jace says flirting with me as I chuckle

"Thanks, but let me tell you staying over longer might cost you guys a lot seeing we have something important" I state as Isabelle nods

While the guy is talking I walk up to a fellow officer and ask him to bring a container filled with water
