The Agency is highly equipped with high-tech technology and the devices used here are much more advanced

Unlike the Institute of the Shadow-hunters, our Agency is much wider in terms of area and space. The hallway you come across at the entrance is quite big with marble designs all over the walls.

As you walk inside the place is divided into different various sections and departments almost the same amount of area that you would see in a hospital would or some big law firm. Each department has its wing and a separate designated area given to it.

As I walk ahead my eyes dart over to my right onto the background engraved S.I.A [Security Intelligence Agency] in bold black letters comes into view.

Walking into the lobby I take the lift. The 20th Floor is the Investigation Hall. The 23rd is the Training Grounds where I'm needed to be right now.

"hold the lift" a voice spoke from afar as I stopped it and the man stepped in

"18th floor," the man said

The ride went in silence as I observed him, The man might not be over his mid-twenties. I would say around 23 or 24. A perfectly tailored black suit hugging his body as I decided to give him a heads up

"You're late, the director doesn't like latecomers. He likes things to be done on time." I stated as he looked over to me

"How do you know?"

"Your clothes gave off and besides you're glancing at your watch every second minute as if it's going to run faster. The stack of paperwork in your hand pretty much sums it up" I responded giving him a small smile

"Quick study I see, never seen a woman with these skills. I like woman like you." He smirked as I looked at him leaning against the lift's wall

"Really? Because it's not something that I find out of the box, reading people is a part of my job" crossing my arms over my chest

"And letting them think they are right is mine," he said

"Well sorry that it didn't work out here. Besides 18th floor is where all the higher-ups are, so it was easy"

"Spoken like a keen observer," he said closing the gap between us

"Making people lose, looks like it's your favourite hobby. Mr.?" Raising my eyebrows at him I questioned

"Halstead, Liam Halstead" he says eyes sparkling with excitement

"Katherine Price"

"My hobby is my entertainment after all you don't get to meet people who can prove you wrong. Every other day" he winks

"See you afterwards, Mr. Halstead if you survive your meeting" I smiled teasing him

"The director is the one who wants to see me, so I don't care much Ms. Price," he said as the lift came to a stop he stepped out and gave me a last look and walked away.

It's not often you meet guys like these at work who like to challenge you. I was now fully ready to give these new trainees a piece of my mind smiling to myself I sprinted out of the lift over to the training room.

"Veronica!" I heard a sweet voice calling out my name as I walked inside the training room with everyone's eyes on me from the moment I walked in

"Jessy" I went over and gave her a side hug. Giving the newbies standing a glance for the training.

there were 8 women and 10 men a total of 18 people. The number seems fine but I guess this time the Agency opened a lot of slots for people to come in. Well, that just means more work for us.
