I had a dream. It was about my dad. It was the day he came back from his business trip.I was so happy to see him again after 2 whole months. I remember that day as if it were just yesterday but it was actually when I was 5 years old. I usually have the memory of a fish but when it came to my dad I could replay every memory and every moment I spent with him in my mind like a record player.
My hand slammed down on the screen of my phone. I groaned in frustration as my annoying alarm continued to make that horrendous noise. I grabbed my phone up from my nightstand and turned off my alarm. Once it stopped, the bright light on my phone lit up my face I looked at the time only to see that it was 8 am. I could already hear my grandma and mom chatting away downstairs about who knows what. I let out a sigh "Another day another slay 😥"
I walked downstairs with my phone in my hand and headed to the kitchen where the laughing and chatting got louder
As soon as I entered the kitchen the laughing died down and was replaced with smiles "Good morning sleeping beauty" my mom greeted "Oh Y/n good you're awake" my grandmother chirped up. She handed me a plate of food and sat me down on the table. "Uhm what's this all about?" I questioned "Oh nothing don't worry about it" my mom said smiling at me like a crazy lady "I'm scared...."
"Well a really nice boy just dropped something off at our house he said his name was uh....Stewie?" My grandmother looked confused trying to remember his name.
I looked at her confused 😟. Who tf is Stewie?

"No it was Steven" my mom told my grandmother rolling her eyes "Oh yes Steven right" Steven came over while I was asleep? Woah 🙀 "Anyways what did he drop off?" I questioned My mom pushed my heart shaped locket towards me. The same one my dad bought for me when he came back from his business trip. The same one I had dreamed about. (What a coincidence 🤪🔫)
"Oh wow I didn't even know I dropped it" I hugged the necklace and was really grateful that Steven found it. How could I be so careless not realizing I dropped it. "He also dropped these off too" My mom handed me a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers "Wow this is amazing. He sent these for me?" My mom smirked at me and nodded I smiled while touching the flowers. How thoughtful how him to send me flowers and return my necklace. I set the flowers aside and continued to eat. My brain finally decided to work for on once and I realised that I have his number. I would just call him later.
After eating, I quickly ran upstairs with my flower and necklace in one hand and my phone in the other Maybe I should send a text. No wait I'll just call. Ugh idk. I though to myself Nervously, I clicked on his name in my contacts and decided to call.
Ring...ring...ring...and finally another voice was heard "Hello?" He asked. His voice raspy as if he just woke up. "Hey Steven, it's uh Y/n I just wanted to say thank you for returning my necklace and for the flowers" He chuckled and then responded "Hey Y/n yeah no problem. I hope you like the flowers I grew them myself" My smile grew wider "I love them thank you so much"
(Steven's Pov)
I was in the garden watering my plants when all of a sudden I felt my phone buzzing in my back pocket. "Unknown caller huh. I wonder who that could be" I answered the phone. My voice sounding like I haven't drank water in days. Then I heard her...Y/n A smile plastered on my face as I spoke to her "I love them thank you so much" she said I chuckled. "Yeah no problem. They reminded me of you."
(Y/n's Pov)
I blushed as he said those words. "How so?" I questioned him. My face redder than a tomato at this point and my smile bigger than the Cheshire Cat "They're pretty" he responded I froze. My heart was beating fast. I stopped breathing. Face red and hot And then to ruin the moment my grandma called me "Oh shoot Steven I gotta go. Talk to you later" I heard him sigh on the other side. "Wait uhm before you go wanna hang out at the amusement park tomorrow?" My smile could not get wider at this point "Sure I'd love to. Bye Steven" "Bye Y/n" I hung up and started jump up and down happily. I like the wait to hang out with him tomorrow
"Y/n!!!" I heard a scream from downstairs. "Coming Grandma" I shouted from upstairs. I smiled again and placed the roses on my nightstand along with my necklace before running downstairs before my grandma kills me.
