(Y/n Pov)
It felt nice talking to Lars again after so many years had passed by. I missed Sadie a lot thought and hoped I could see her again.
I shook away my thoughts and continued listening to my grandma talk about the new upgrades around the place, such as the new amusement park. All of this sounded amazing but once again my thoughts got the best of me and I thought about the interaction I had earlier today, about.....Steven
I felt my cheeks heating up. I started replaying the scenario in my head. I was probably showing signs of mental illnesses by now.
"What are you thinking about Y/n?" My grandmother asked
"Oh nothing" I lie. I definitely can't tell them about the interaction I had with a certain brunette today.
"Oh by the way I dropped my phone and now it's all broken" I say nervously pushing my broken phone to my mom. She looked at it and then looked at me with confusion.
"How tf- y/n did you drop it from the top of the Eiffel Tower?" My mom asks
I shot an awkward smile at her
"I'm sorry I bumped into someone and then it broke and I need to get it fixed.....pretty please?" I rambled. My mom rolled her eyes and then sighed.
"Ugh fine we will drop it off at the repair shop on our way back home". I smiled widely
"Thank you thank you thank you." I said excitingly as I side hugged her
"Yeah yeah...but break it again and you'll be using a Dora flip phone" my mom threatened
I widen my eyes and nodded my head.

(Time Skip)
Exploring beach city was fun. A lot really has changed but most of the people were odd they either only had one eye or 4 arms and legs but eh who am I to judge?......they are kinda weird though.
"Did you have fun dear?" My grandma asked me
"Yeah but...the people we'll some of them were really strange..."
"Oh yes during the years many strange things have happened in beach city and it has everything to do with the strange people you were talking about, they are called gems darling. I really don't know much about them because I choose to stay away rather than engage In conversation, but they are everywhere"my grandma says.
"Hm..okay"
I walked away from my grandma and decided to go outside for some fresh air. I kept on thinking about what my grandma said and got stuck in a day dream not looking where I was walking and bumped into someone.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry....Steven?"
"We have to stop meeting like this" he chuckled .
"So what we're you thinking about that made you bump into me?.....again" Steven asked
"Uhm nothing really it's....fine"
"Uh so do you wanna hang out with me? I want to show you something"
"Sure but i should probably tell my mom first, I'll be right back" I say. I ran towards my house and quickly opened the door and accidentally spooked my mom because she was wide eyed.
"Y/n wtf you scared the daylight out of me child"
"Sorry im in a hurry I just came to tell you I'm hanging out with a friend"
"Honey what if this person kidnaps you? I have no money to pay any ransom so they will just have to keep you" my mother says
"It's fine mom he's around my age and"
I say but got cut off by my mom cooing
"Ooh a boy~"
"No its not...whatever I'm leaving bye mama"
I ran as fast as I could to where I left Steven .
I finally made it only to see him sitting on the sand looking at the view.He looked so at peace.
"Uhm Steven I'm back"
"Oh hey let's go"

"Where are we going?" I asked
"To little home school" he responded with a smile on his face
"What's that?"
"Oh it's a school where we help uncorrupted gems heal and learn " he says
"What's an uncorrupted gem?" I asked with a confuse look on my face
"Gems that aren't corrupted" Steven responds sarcastically.
I roll my eyes and chuckle
"Wow you're so helpful"
We continued walking until we came in view with a bunch of buildings.
"This is little home school"
"Woah...you built all of this?" I asked amazed by what I was seeing.
"Well yeah but I had help from my friends I'll introduce you to them" he says smiling at me

He held my hand as we walked. It was such an odd place. There were 2 short red people running, a blue person holding books flew above us and another strange creature was bouncing on the ground like a ball.
"Wow this is amazing, so tell me what's little homeschool about?" I asked excitedly.
"Hehe well...here at little homeschool gems have a chance to rediscover themselves and learn to live on earth...if they choose too"
He explains

"Oh y/n follow me"
He ran towards a building where a tall person with rainbow hair and a sort of hammer for a hand was making something.
"Hey bismuth" he called over to the person
"Oh hey Steven ooh~ whose this pretty little thing ?"
The tall person inches closer to my face and inspected my features.
"Bismuth this is Y/n, Y/n this is Bismuth"
(I love bismuth 🫶🏽)
"Bismuth is a gem she's quite the inventor and actually she built most of Little Homeschool...well all of it but I helped" he explained to me
I took a good look at them and stretched out my arm to the gem.
"Nice to meet you Bismuth"
She took my hand in hers and shook it
"Nice to meet you to Y/n"
"Let's go Y/n I have so much more to show you"
He grabbed my hand and and we ran towards another building but this time it was mostly filled with plants and a green talking Dorito and another gem watering plants.
"The green one is Peridot. I'll introduce you to her later."
We walked for another minute or so in silence until we approached a few gems that were upside down.
"That's Garnet she's a Gem but also a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire" he said pointing to the gem balancing on her head, her curly hair managing to remain perfect.
I looked at him with a deadpanned look on my face
"yeah like I understood anything you said"
"You'll catch on"
We walked up to the tall lady and gah damn she fine as hell
"Hey Garnet this is Y/n she just moved here"
A glare flashed across her visor
"Nice to meet you Y/n"
I smiled at her
"I'm showing her around Little Home School"
"You two have fun then" she said smirking before walking away.

1185 words and one stressed teenager later
