Tonight your best friend pedri scored a hat-rick and Gavi was throwing him a party
However you and pedri had a fight a week ago and you're not currently talking so you're not sure you're invited from the first place ~~
You were interrupted by your phone buzzing

You received a text from Gavi obviously inviting your to the party usually you just show up since you all are best friends but because of the tension between you and pedri it's different this time
You were determined that you're not going but when Gavi mentioned Elena Being there you felt like you had some duty to fulfill
Elena and pedri have been together for two years now and their relationship is simply a disaster
She's cheated on him countless times
She's always gaslighting him but for some reason he just wouldn't end things with her
You and Gavi have been trying your hardest to prevent that relationship from happening from the first place but now you're gradually giving up on that
" God he can be a bitch sometimes but he's still my best friend" you sighed and got up to get ready

You weren't actually in the mood to wear something luxurious or anything so you picked out a simple floral dress with your white sneakers and headed to to the party
{ 30 minutes later}
You arrived at the party scanning the place looking for your squad however nobody seemed to be around so you decided to go grab a drink first
" Can I get a Negroni please" you politely asked the waiter
You decided to call Gavi to see where he was
" HEY I'M AT THE PARTY ALREADY WHERE ARE YOU" You yelled through the phone since it was insanely loud
" I went back home to grab an extra shirt Ansu barfed all over me man " he said disgusted
" Okay okay I'm at the bar see you later then " you hung up and grabbed your drink
You turned around to face the crowd on the dance floor and ultimately spotted pedri walking towards you
You just stood awkwardly there not knowing what to do
" God should I just walk away" you thought to yourself
" Hey " he smiled at you leaning on the counter

You felt a lump in your throat but you bitterly swallowed it

" You and Gavi are constantly giving me shit because of my relationship I think the two of you are bored and lonely you should definitely date" he blurted holding both of your shoulders
" He's literally like a brother to me shut up pedri " you said a bit pissed

You turned around to see Gavi wearing a black shirt and tight black jeans per usual
You instantly walked towards him and hugged him
" If he breaks my heart tonight it's all on you " you whispered briefly and let go of him
" I was just telling y/n about how you two-"
" I said stop!" You said in a high tone making both pedri and Gavi flinch
" Oh hey baby" a female voice moaned from behind and it was no other than the bitchy Elena
You gave Gavi the " what the fuck look " and he just sighed
" What's going on here " she asked clinging into pedri as if he was gonna fly away or something
" I was just saying that y/n and Gavi would look cute together but y/n got all in her feelings " he rolled his eyes
" Oh my god baby they definitely don't " she laughed
" Y/n look good single let her be " she smirked
You were just done at this point the party hasn't even started and she was already giving you a hard time
" Actually both of you need to stop bitching about my relationship status and worry about your own " you said in a serious tone
Gavi squeezed your hand preventing you from saying anything else but you just couldn't keep doing this to yourself
" Okay okay we get it y/n you wanna rot alone " pedri laughed
And you could swear you heard your heart shatter for a bit
" I'd rather rot alone for the rest of my life than be with someone who was fucking my teammate right after we won a match" you yelled uncontrollably
Everyone gasped
" W-what are you talking about?" Pedri questioned
"Enjoy your three goals celebration apparently you're not the only one who scored " you chukled and fled the scene
Gavi immediately went after you
" Y/n waaait !!" He held your wrist
" What? I will seriously punch you if you're here to defend your friend or something" you said through gritted teeth
Gavi laughed
" No I'm here to make sure you're okay y/n calm down "
You snatched your hand away from his
" I'm fine you should be worried about pedri " you sighed in defeat
" God the things he's making me do "
" Y/n go easy on yourself you love him and you've always done your best to protect him but it seems like he doesn't want you to do that so just stop "
" That's cruel" you breathe with tears in your eyes
" The truth is cruel but eventually you're gonna have to face it " he mumbled softly rubbing your arm
" I'm gonna head home now the vibe in this place is just ugh" you faintly said
" Let me drive you home I-"
" No it's fine Gavi I need to clear my head " you briefly hugged him
" You're a good friend Gavi" you whispered rubbing his back
" Wouldn't have been without you " he replied
And with that you went back home
You were feeling bad and not because of what you said earlier but because it just hit you that Gavi clearly has feelings for you and you've been turning a blind eye to that
" God friendships are so confusing" you sighed and bend over to loosen your heels straps
Until your doorbell rang nearer scaring the shit out of you
" Jesus who's this " you cursed
" I know you're here y/n open the door " it was Pedri knocking nonstop
" Why are you here " you yelled
" Just open the door " he banged on the door even harder
" God stop not everyone is rich enough to afford a new door " you yelled and opened it for him

" You're so Childish " he pushed you aside and went inside your house

" I broke up with her " he sighed sitting on the couch
" Oh my god we should definitely celebrate that vodka or wine?" You mocked him

" Pedri you've broken up with her like twice a day baby wake up " you chukled putting your hair in a bun

You walked towards him and sat next to him on the couch

" I need to get upstairs and shower pedri just go home " you smiled and walked past him

" I think I like you because tonight for the very first time I felt the urge to murder someone for simply standing next to you " he admit

" I'm not gonna ask you to be my girlfriend or anything I know it's too much to process and I just ended a long term relationship but I'd really love to give us a chance " he said biting his lip
" I like you pedri but I need time I don't trust you enough now because you always get back with Elena and I don't wanna end up broken AGAIN " you emphasized
" Y-yeah yeah you have every reason to be cautious I'm sorry" he took a step back
" Don't be I mean we're grown ups after all " you smiled
" Sure yeah so uhm I'm gonna head home now " he stared at you
