" y/n this is literally the worst idea ever " pedri paced around the room
" Whyyy dude!! just act like we're a thing for a night and it will clear everything out " you insisted

You've had a crush on Gavi Pedri's best friend for a while now , you two often flirts however he never asked you out or told you he liked you
He keeps sending you mixed signals and you were just done at this point
So you're trying to convince Pedri to act like you two are a thing hoping it would trigger him somehow and he would make a move
" I just don't feel good about this what if he gets mad at us or something " he sighed sitting on the bed next to you
" I'm your best friend too pedri ! and I need your help ! god can't you just for once prioritize me over him " you blurted with glossy eyes
Pedri gazed at you for a second
" Okay but promise me one thing " he crooned

" Okay what should I wear to the crucial party tonight" you got up giggling
" You look good in everything just wear whatever " he mumbled playing with his phone
" God don't say that gimme a little help over here " you said rummaging through your clothes
You two spent almost an hour fighting over what you should be wearing since pedri is not a girl he didn't help that much
" Okay How does this look" you asked
" Nah y/n it's too much "
" Pedri this is the sixth dress I've tried til now " you sighed sitting on the floor
" Wear this I mean it's red and silky just your favorite" he shrugged
" I literally thought I lost it " you smacked your forehead and snatched it from pedri

Minutes later

" God I can't believe it took you an hour to get ready y/n you're exaggerating" he sighed clearly done with you
" Ugh don't say that ;(( I just want it to be special" you jumped excitedly
{Pedri's POV }
I honestly don't know what to think about this whole situation Gavi is like a brother to me and I'll always support him unconditionally, y/n on the hand is my best friend too and I have to be a good friend and protect her from getting hurt
Gavi is not the relationship type of guy he flirts with everyone it breaks my heart to see that y/n thinks flirting will lead to something bigger
But at the same time Gavi told me many times that he admires her still I don't know to what extent
I just hope it ends well

" Hey where did you go" you snapped your fingers at him
" I-I'm here let's go now the party's already began " he chuckled briefly picking up his car Keys and cellphone

{30 minutes later }

You and Pedri arrived at the party
It was pretty crowded since Gavi is a social butterfly he just happens to be friends with everyone
" I'm so nervous man" you said anxiously biting your nails
" Stop " Pedri snatched your hand away from your mouth
" You're amazing inside out okay and if he failed to see that it's simply his loss " he firmly admitted
You just looked at him surprised since he's never been the type of person who's expressive of his thoughts and feelings
You reached for his hand and held it closer to your mouth and kissed it

" Gavi is right behind you " you whispered with a fake smile
" Look who's here " Gavi approached the two of you with a beer in his hand

You burst out laughing because it wasn't even planned
Gavi's eyes narrowed in confusion
" Uhm so how's life " he said raising his eyebrow

" Yeah I'm quite busy I barely have enough time to hang out with my friends" you chuckled nervously

" Yes I guess " you let out a fake laugh

" Aah the view from here is amazing at night " you said inhaling the fresh breeze

" So what did you wanna talk about? " you asked impatiently
" Are you and Pedri like a thing or something? And how come I don't know? like just a week ago we were in each other's throats"he chukled

" If it bothers you that much then why aren't you doing anything about it ?" You boldly asked moving towards him filling the gap between the two of you
" What am I supposed to do y/n you know I like you" he said looking down in embarrassment

" Maybe you could ask me out?" You said wrapping your arms around his neck
Gavi's facial expressions quickly changed
" I can't do that" he said faintly almost whispering
" What?" You frowned
" You know I've never been the relationship type of guy y/n "
You immediately let go of him and took a few steps back
" You're unbelievable" your eyelids dropped in agony
" You like me but you just don't like me enough to man up and be serious about me right?" You chukled in pain
" Y/n please" he begged reaching for your hand but you immediately slapped his away

" I'm sorry y/n I just can't commit to anyone you wouldn't get it " he again tried to hold your hands together

"and what on earth do you mean by you can't commit it's not that you can't commit you simply don't want to , god I really thought I was worthy to you Gavi " you wiped away a tear

" It sure as hell is , you're clearly unable to love someone in a healthy way you just fuck around with everyone like your fucked up father!!" you screamed in anger
Gavi looked up with tears forming in his eyes
" I don't mind that oh my god I really didn't Gavi " you quickly walked up to him and pulled him into a hug

" I'm not , don't say that you're not your father and I'm so mad at you right now but you really are nothing like him " you sincerely told him breaking the hug
" I'm sorry I couldn't be someone you deserve" he whispered leaning his forehead against yours
"U need to let go cause nothing can change my mind y/n"
You looked at him a crying mess
And before you could say anything he left

{Meanwhile Pedri's pov}

It's been awhile since Gavi and y/n left to talk I was starting to get worried til I spotted Gavi
" Hey where is y/n w-wait are you crying?" I asked taken back
" She's in the balcony please stay with her " he briefly said leaving me dumbfounded
I quickly went to the balcony
To find y/n fallen on the Floor crying hysterically
" Hey hey are you okay" I instantly pulled her fragile figure to my chest
" H-he doesn't wanna be with me pedri he doesn't love me" she sobbed in agony
I didn't wanna say I've seen this coming but yeah I definitely did however it didn't matter the only thing that matters now is y/n and her feelings
" Shh that's okay y/n it just wasn't meant to be I know you're hurting now but soon you will get over it " I softly said rubbing her back up and down
" Am I that hard to love?" She looked at me her eyes welled up
" Y/n!! " I slightly smacked her forehead
" What are you saying man you're the sweetest nicest most Lovable person I've ever known truly y/n "
" Then why can't he just love me ?" She desperately asked
" Because you two clearly want different things and there's nothing wrong with that... Imagine if he just settled for a relationship to please you only y/n ! Then both of you would've ended up severely hurt " I tried to comfort her
" Where is Gavi now ?" She asks
" I don't know y/n he left let's just go home and rest "

Meanwhile in Pedri's car ~~
You were laying your head back on the seat staring blankly into nothing
" Tonight made me realize a lot of things but the most evident one is that you're the only friend I'll ever need , uhmm ...losing Gavi hurts but I can't imagine losing you Pedri" you blurted in a serious tone
