31 - Studying with wolf

Start from the beginning

And because of him I missed the movie, I wanted to watch it so badly.

He didn't hear me because of his big headphones, and I walked to his bed and put my stuff on it before I followed and lied down in his mesmerizing smelling bed.

I still couldn't believe that we would graduate in a few months, well I still needed to get Cassian to graduate.

Because I couldn't understand at all how he could do that badly in school even though he had something in his mind to work with. How did he even manage to get this far with those grades?

For a second, I looked at the back of his head before I started to focus my attention on my learning materials.

Quietly someone knocked on the door after some time, I was focused on my work and made me look up.

How long have I studied now? Did Cas even think about me at all?

He still sat at his PC and watched the show further without thinking that I should have arrived by now. Well, I did arrive but he still didn't seem to notice.

»Kyran?«

Attentively, I looked at Kiana who carried a plate in her hand.

»I have some cake for you, if you want,« she said and I nodded with a smile. She put the plate on his bed and then looked at Cassian.

»Didn't you two want to study?« she asked, confused. Slightly I nodded and shrugged with my shoulder as I sat up from my lying position.

Suddenly she grinned cunningly and scared me a little bit with that. I understood why she and my mother were friends. Both of them had that creepy grin.

»Just stay quietly there, okay?« she ordered, and I nodded.

I had no idea what she was about to do but she went to Cassian and put a mask of panic on her face. Only nonsense in her head, just like Mom.

Abruptly she pulled Cas the headphone from his head and he wanted to begin to complain loudly but stopped after seeing her panicking expression.

»What's wrong?« he asked, worried and frowned so hard, I was scared that the wrinkles would stay forever.

»Kyran was in an accident on his way here,« she yelled in panic and his eyes went wide before he jumped up, almost falling to the ground face first and wanted to run out of his room, but he stopped confused in his tracks and looked to his bed.

»Hi,« I greeted him amused.

»Fucking hell, don't scare me like that!« he cursed and stormed to his bed where he cupped my face into his hands.

»Mom, you can leave,« Cas mumbled, and Kiana left us alone, loudly laughing.

»Why didn't you say something?« he asked as he sat down next to me.

»Well, I can't stop you, when I'm almost done turning you into a show addict. Moreover, now that you're almost finished with Outlander,« I giggled and laughed harder when I saw his sulky grimace.

»Now I don't have any motivation to study anymore,« he grumbled and made me laugh even harder.

»Cas, I only came here today to study with you,« I protested in amusement.

»But I don't have any motivation left,« he disagreed and acted like a stubborn child.

»Then, I will study alone,« I giggled and concentrated on my books again.

»Hey, no! Don't ignore me. Give me at least a welcome kiss!« he said indignantly and tried to forcefully turn my head, but I held against him, which made him snort upset.

And then all of sudden I heard the sound of breaking bones before a giant brown wolf sat next to me.

He got up, covered almost all of the bed space, and wandered around me to wrap himself around my back and put his head on his paws.

»If you prefer it like that,« I laughed and leaned myself into his fluffy dark-brown fur.

The joyful tingle awoke in my stomach again but I tried suppressing it and pushing it back but that worked more badly than well. Cassian had a too big impact on me.

»If you don't study today, you will probably fail your exam,« I said after some time in which he, I believed, tried to sleep and I studied. This man seriously exhausted me and that was not only because my body went crazy if I was near him.

He growled low and pushed his head nearer to me. His eyes still closed.

»If you don't want to study, I can go home too. After all, it's already pretty late,« I said and wanted to get up from his bed as I got pulled back because he bit my shirt.

»Cas! That was a birthday present from Ma!« I shrieked in panic – feared there would be holes in the shirt now.

Snorting, the giant wolf sat up and flattened his ears with a growl.

»Come on, don't sulk. I need to go home. Tomorrow is school.«

He snorted with a growl again and bared his fangs.

If I was a human that didn't know what was going on I would have feared his sharp fangs but I wasn't a human and I knew that my dear mate only was a stubborn pup that didn't want to let me go.

»Cas, please. Then drive me home. Maybe you get a goodbye kiss then,« I murmured and immediately he pricked up his ears, jumped off the bed and trotted around me, his tongue hanging out.

»You need to transform back to drive,« I laughed and squatted down. He halted in front of me and stared at me with his beautiful green eyes in which I almost lost myself if he didn't lick me through my face.

»You're disgusting!« I screamed and wiped the slobber from my face. If we both were in our wolf forms it was one thing but if he licked me through my face when I was a human I was just disgusted.

A hearty laugh reached my ears when he transformed back and pulled me up onto my legs. Broadly smiling, he dragged me out of his room after I collected my stuff and together, we put on our shoes at the front door.

It was dark outside as we walked to his car.

He went in but I stopped because I heard a rustle. Attentively, I glanced around but couldn't see anything, even with my wolf eyes. And there wasn't a scent either. Slightly shrugging my shoulders, I followed Cas into his car.

While he drove me home, he held my hand to distract me from the closer-coming walls.

I hated my phobia. They were only small rooms, they did nothing to me. And I still had this cursed fear of small rooms.

»We arrived,« Cas whispered into the silent car and stroked the back of my hand with his thumb before he lifted my hand to his lips and kissed it.

»Do I still get my goodbye kiss?« he asked and made me nod in a daze. He made me go crazy in so many ways.

Gently he put his lips on mine and his hand on my cheek. It wasn't a long kiss but I still felt so much with only this short kiss that I couldn't comprehend it into words.

He was unbelievable and the former doubts I had faded away as if they never existed in the first place.

»Do you have plans for February 14?« he asked quietly.

»You tell me,« I whispered back.

»I will get you then...« he mumbled and stroked my cheek.

»I'm looking forward to our first date. Dream of something good tonight,« I breathed against his lips with a smile on my face.

»I'm looking forward to it too. Good night,« he breathed back.

Smiling, I got out of his car and closed the door before I walked up the stairs to the house and waved at him before I went inside the house. Just when the door closed behind me, I couldn't hide my broad grin anymore and jumped up and down in joy.

Finally! A date!
