30 - Captain

And slowly the others voted for me too and Ethan ran away. Puzzled, I looked after him before I saw why he ran away.

He had the blue jacket for our team in his hands and halted behind me.

»Come on, Captain. Crutches away and arms in my direction!«

The others agreed with loud cheers and I laughed and gave my crutches to the coach before I let Ethan put the jacket on me.

»The king of water returned,« he announced and the others started to bellow their cheers.

»See you tomorrow, Captain,« the others said goodbye to me as we left the swimming hall.

The training went pretty well. The Coach was thrilled because he hadn't seen such joy in training for a long time, well that's what he told me.

»Well, Luna. Now you have your old life almost completely back,« Ethan said. He stood next to me and had his pink unicorn bag thrown over his shoulder.

»With a few changes. I found my mate, who is shockingly Cassian, and now I'm not a Beta anymore but the Luna.«

He shrugged his shoulders and laughed before he disappeared in the direction where the others left too.

I really almost had my old life back.

I was in the band and swim team again and got my role as the captain back. I had my friends back; my family and my pack accepted me.

All that with a few extras. I had new friends, a second family and my mate. Almost everything turned out to be too good to be true. No deadly sickness that tried to kill me.

My Alpha accepted me even though I had a traitor mark on my body. My mate accepted me even though we hated us back then. It seriously seemed to be too good.

»What are you thinking about?«

Startled, I pulled up my head as two arms wrapped themselves around my middle and pulled me against a warm muscular chest. My heart pounded and stumbled and shivers went down my spine. This man drove me crazy.

»Just about the things that changed and the ones I have back,« I mumbled and leaned myself against him with closed eyes. As crazy as he drove me, his nearness cured my heart and soul.

»And?«

He pushed his nose into my hair, and I could feel how he took in my scent. »You smell like chlorine. I like the scent on you... You smelled like that back then too...«

Smiling, I turned my head around and looked into his beautiful moss-green eyes. Why must he have such a unique color and my got to be damn boring?

»Thanks and you smell like sweat,« I returned with a laugh as I caught sight of his sweaty hair and smelled it. It wasn't pungent but I could still smell that he strained himself.

»Back to your question. Almost everything is back to how it was before and now even better.«

Smiling, he lowered his head and wanted to kiss me but I put my hand over his mouth. Confused, he frowned and wanted to say something as I put my hand down.

I know we had this already, but...

»Do you really want this at school?« I asked insecurely. Another conversation that I put weight on. A conversation with a truthful answer, I hoped.

»What do you mean?« he asked and eyed me worried.

»Well, everyone thinks you are hetero and not gay. Wouldn't it put you in a cringe spot if we are suddenly kissing and all? Moreover, with me.«

My words seemed to confuse him even more. »Why do you say that? I already told you, I want this relationship,« he said and sounded hurt.

»No, no. It's just that it would be strange for you and everyone else and I don't know, I just thought-«

All of a sudden he silenced me with his lips and short fireworks through my stomach.

However, our lips split apart too quickly and with just that little kiss I recognized how badly I wanted to kiss him and how much I missed his lips. Even though we kissed before the training.

»Stop overthinking everything, Kyran,« he said and slightly lowered himself to look at me face to face.

»You are my mate and I take pride in that. So, don't overthink something that is clearly obvious. I already told you, I don't care what others think and say. They don't matter to me, only you matter. Do you understand?«

Hesitatingly, I nodded and made him sigh.

»Good. Because if you stop me from kissing you again, I will go crazy.«

Everything inside of me immediately screamed at me to no longer hesitate and I didn't do that. Almost like a starved person I jumped at him and bound our lips together, my arms wrapped around his neck.

Growling he pressed me against his solid body and ran his fingers through my blond hair. And I could swear, I felt claws on my skin for a short moment.

»You're driving me crazy,« Cas breathed as we stopped kissing.

»I can only return that,« I croaked and only now I recognized the red jacket he wore.

»You got into the team,« I said breathlessly and tried changing the topic. Because if not, I couldn't hold back my instincts anymore and would let him fuck me until we both couldn't cum anymore.

It seemed like he felt the same because his whole body shook. He needed to push back the wolf inside him to not jump at his mate to pin him down and complete the bond.

»And the Captain. First, they wanted another one but after seeing me play that satisfied them, they asked me. Well, most of them are wolves from our pack, so they wanted me because of the Alpha and leader thing,« he whispered and leaned his forehead exhausted against mine.
