I shouldn't be here.

Cleopatra and Antony deserved to be the ones in control as their world turned upside down. A raging wildfire of chaos erupted. Cheers and screams echoed through the halls as Julius was proclaimed dead.

I stared at his body, not realising I had slipped to the floor. Marcus's hand slipped into mine and I looked up at him. "Farewell, Thea," he said, giving me a small smile and that's when I realised Marcus was no longer there. I was talking to Mark Antony.

I felt something tug at me and I knew it was time. "Take care of her," I whispered to him and Antony nodded in promise as I felt the ground under my feet evaporate.

I watched as Cleopatra's head bowed, "Ave ateque vale, Gaius Julius Augustus."

Brutus took to the podium and the relief of being pulled back to my time washed over me as his last words lingered in my mind.

"As Caesar loved me, I weep for him. As he was fortunate, I rejoice at it. As he was valiant, I honour him. But, as he was ambitious, I slew him."
