24 - Christmas party ends in a disaster

And I was the one that told her to buy it – mostly because of a joke, but it fit her perfectly.

It showed a part of her back and had round the belly a black belt. Her wild dark-brown ringlets were open like Genevieve's. My abroad-sister was seriously a beauty queen.

Lea wore a black pantsuit and showed a clear difference between herself and the other girls. Her dark-blond hair was firmly put together in a high ponytail.

Somehow a dress didn't fit the female vampire. She was tall – taller than the average woman. And her long legs just didn't look good in the combination with a dress – but in a pantsuit she looked hot.

»Now we are ready to go, right?« Emi asked and the other girls agreed on that. While the others left the room, I stopped Emily from leaving.

Questioning, she looked up to me and I waited until the door was closed. We couldn't stop talking about the thing we tried to hide for so long.

»Did Enzo have another vision? The last one still didn't appear and it worries me. Now being the Luna even more and I fear it could affect my pack. I... And we still don't know what it means.«

Thoughtful the dark-skinned girl frowned and shrugged her shoulders slightly.

»Not that I know of. Well, Enzo didn't tell me about a new vision at least. But I'm sure we still can uncover the meaning behind the vision. After all, you know that his vision can take some time. We should always have it in mind, but until we know what it means, we can't do something. Not active like you would like to do.«

Sighing I nodded and then looked at her bright face.

»Ah, not that I'll forget about it. I got the thing you asked me for. I already wrapped it up. Let me guess, it's the present for Cassian,« she said cheerfully and grinned knowingly.

»Stop with that grin,« I grumbled, shy. »And after all, you already know who's present it is, so I don't need to answer!« I growled and strutted out of the room. She followed me, giggling.

»Can we go now?« Cameron whined when Emily and I entered the living room.

Annoyed, Chat sighed and swirled the knife between his fingers further. Where he got it, I didn't know, because it was a special made hunter knife and not one from the cutlery.

Just try to ignore it and hope that Fynn doesn't get his hands on the knife.

»How about we go then? Three of you need to walk with me anyway,« I yelled against the TV that was on full volume.

All of them, except for Enzo, had a supernatural sense of hearing. So, why did they need to watch TV on full volume that even a deaf human would hear?!

»I'm coming with you!« Cameron yelled and jumped from the stool that stood in front of the kitchen island.

»Me too, as long as we transform and walk through the woods,« Naika said and laid her hand on her neck as if she was in pain.

»Stretching our legs won't disturb anyone. I'm coming too,« Sean said resolutely and stood up from the couch.

»Then I have my three companions. Would the others get in the van then?« Enthusiastically, everyone got up and after a few minutes everyone was inside the mint green van – Zack behind the wheel.

»Sean, could you maybe carry my bag?« I asked and looked at the vampire who took my bag.

Bones cracked next to me and then I saw two wolves instead of people.

One of them had straw blond fur and had a brawny stature – that was Cameron. His fur color was almost the same as Caleb's, but his fur was a little lighter and had a few white spots.
