John stepped out of the saloon and went to go down the steps only to stop by the hat he was about to step on

He bent down and swooped it up and the king of hearts card in the hat band caught his attention immediately he dusted the dirt off it and gently moved the card just enough to see the bullet hole he learned the story of last night

He then spin around in a circle looking for Dixie but the search came up with nothing looking to the nearest passerby

"Hey mister! You see the girl who was wearing this?" He questioned holding the hat up

"I watched a few fellas ride though here early this morning it fell off one of the woman hogtied" he explained with a slur clearly drunk

"Thank you mister" John called behind he as he was already on his way to the jailhouse

As he neared Dixie's hat in hand he heard talking inside

"I don't have a clue. Alright, but it's got to be something to do with that Government boy!" Drew MacFarlane told Marshal Johnson

"We'll talk to him, find out what he knows." The marshal offered not believing John had something to do with the situation

"Fuckin' is" drew said as John opened the door and couldn't contain his anger as he yelled at the man walking closer" Where is she, Marston?"

Johnson looked at the man his eye's being draw to a familiar hat in his never faltering grip

"Who?" John asked not knowing which girl they where talking about but he had a feeling

"Why do you have my daughters hat?" Johnson asked

"Who? My daughter, you fucking scum. Where's Bonnie?" Drew yelled in the man's face John looked around him and at the Marshal

"Dixie was supposed to met me today in town I only found her hat" John explained to the man and Johnson lungs stopping working for a minute, John then looked back to Drew "I don't know, I haven't seen her since after the fire yesterday. Why?"

"Why? Because she's hasn't been seen since that fire." The old farmer told John before turning towards the Marshal " I don't think I can cope. If I lose another child."

"Now Drew, nobody has lost anything yet. I do believe I'm in the same position with you right now, I'm sure her and Dixie are fine-"

His sentence was cut off from a yelling outside

"Oh. Mister Marshal...Mr. Marshal...Come out, come out wherever you are."

Johnson and Marston shared a look before the Marshal made his way outside with a simple"who the hell is that?"

John followed soon after him Drew as well, they stood on the porch looking at a man John realized as someone he saw riding with Bill atop his horse as he continued to blabber
