The rest of the week was a blur.

Moments of Tuesday night replay in my head like a film reel. From the moment I entered the bar to when I fell asleep smiling to the light from my phone screen. Now Saturday morning, I lay on my bed looking around at my apartment.

The green décor and plants surrounding me make me think of only one thing, Lizzie.

How green her eyes were when they first met mine and how mine are constantly waiting to see hers again. Every night that passes makes me a night closer to messaging her. We haven't spoken since Tuesday night so a part of me makes me think she has moved on. After all we only really had one conversation and it wasn't even a full conversation, she spoke and I was too mesmerised to remember to reply to her, I didn't even tell her my name before she lustfully walked away from me.

Lizzie <3
You free tonight? x

Sat in front of the tv with a glass of wine I practically jumped up when I saw my phone buzz on the coffee table. Taking a large gulp of wine, I placed the glass down and picked up the phone with my other hand. Memories from Tuesday flashed in front of my eyes as I read over the message; her cheeks in my hands, her hips against the bar, her eyes meeting mine.

Yeah, what do you have in mind? x

I keep telling myself that she is probably just bored, nothing more. But even Scarlet said she thinks that Lizzie is interested in me. I would settle as friends. If it meant I got to look at those eyes for the rest of my life, I would be friends with her.

Send me your address, I'll come over and we can go from there x

I spat out my wine and sat up trying to compose myself and wiping the spilt wine down the sofa with the sleeve of my jumper.

It's the apartment complex you can see from the bar. Apartment 13, I'll buzz you in x

Lizzie <3
I'll see you in 10! x

I look down at the state of me, definetly not ready for Lizzie to be at my door in 10 minutes. As I run into my room, I call Scarlet to help me pick out my outfit for what could possibly be the closest thing I will get to a date with her.

"Hey babe how are y- Y/N please tell me you're about to put some clothes on, I don't think I can facetime you knowing you're half naked," Scarlet spits out as I jump to get into my jeans.

"Lizzie. Messaged me." I get out in between jumps and squats.

"WHAT, I mean – of course, have you seen you but also WHAT. What did she want? I assume something as you are manically running around," Scarlet laughs.

"She's going to be here in-" I look at my watch "-like 7 minutes."

"At your apartment? Y/N, I love you but how the fuck did you manage that, the last I remember you haven't spoken since Tuesday?"

"She messaged asking what I was doing tonight," I say as Scarlet watches with true intention while sipping her own glass of wine, "So obviously I asked why, and she said she'll come to mine and we can decide," I re-place Scarlet on my bathroom side while I do my hair, "hair up or down?"

"Whoa whoa whoa...like a date?" Scarlet asked looking more interested by the minute, "hair down."

"I don't know," I mumbled as I check the time, "fuck she's going to be here in a few minutes. What do I do? Do I hug her? No that's too soon," I pace around the room.

"Y/N! Take a breath, put your big girl pants on and go get your girl," Scarlet shouts over my stress.

"She's not my girl," I rolled my eyes and mumbled back, hanging up the phone and walking towards the door waiting for her text so I can buzz her in.
