Sooyoung then smiled and said, "Lisa, I came looking for you because I'm out of options. I really hope that you can help us. Sehun's been attacking us quite frequently recently, and he already forced Hyunjae to the Philippines. The environment there is tough, and a kid like him has never lived like that. He can't possibly take it. Your father can't do much to transfer him back since he's limited by the board of directors and there are just too many interests involved. What's worse is that Sehun has been bringing his own people into the company."
"So? What can I do?" Lisa took a sip of water and asked.
"I'm hoping you can come back to the Oh Corporation and become a board member, which will naturally make you one of the inheritors. By then, you would play a decisive role, and your father would have to take your words and demands into consideration. Me, on the other hand – I'm not hoping for much, I just wanted you to help me transfer Hyunjae back from the Philippines."
"Sorry, I won't be able to help much."
"Of course I wouldn't ask you to help us for free. I will give you millions after our plan proves to be successful." To Sooyoung, it was an big investment indeed.
Sooyoung pulled out a brocade box from her bag before Lisa had a chance to say anything.
"What is this?" Lisa questioned.
"It's an OMEGA watch, the latest ladies' model. I'm giving you this watch as a sincere gesture, it's worth over a million." Sooyoung pushed the brocade box towards Lisa.
Lisa sneered. Looks like the mother and daughter were putting down huge investments, with the money and watch.
It certainly seemed like Sehun had been playing with them too hard, forcing them into a corner.
"Excuse me, but I really can't help you guys. You should remember that I've already publicly announced that I would never return to the Oh family."
"That's not a problem at all, your father doesn't mind that sort of thing. After all, your kinship is bound by blood."
For a moment, Lisa was about to spill the truth – She was not the daughter of their family. But of course, now was not the time. The truth was often involved with many other interests.
"It doesn't matter if he doesn't mind, because I mind. I do not want to return, so I can't help you, my apologies."
Upon saying the last word, Lisa stood up to leave, never once glancing at the watch...
Sooyoung's complexion became wary; it took her by surprise that Lisa rejected her so directly, barely taking any time to think it through.
Seeing the situation, Nancy could bear no more. So, she stood up and did what she did best. "Hey! Do you even know how to spell the word 'appreciation'? Don't blame me for not warning you that bad days lay ahead for you!"
"Don't mess with me, or I will make sure the days ahead of you will be difficult ones too," Lisa scolded, glancing coldly at Nancy.
She disliked Nancy, from the bottom of her heart, very much like the way she disliked Dahyun.
If Nancy ever crossed the line, she would most definitely teach her a lesson...
"Mom, I told you it would be a waste of time to come here. That disgusting bitch doesn't even appreciate it. I heard she's been having an affair with Jimin, of course she wouldn't be interested in our offering now that she's climbed up a high branch."
"We needed to try, despite knowing it would fail. What if she said 'yes'? Wouldn't we have just one more option? You get anxious too quickly, and Hyunjae is just like you. You two didn't take after me at all."
