After she changed into casual clothes, she came downstairs and sat across from Jungkook on the dining table.
"Your mom came looking for me at South Side today," Lisa said calmly.
"To cause a scene?"
"Yeah, but she failed, and I pissed her off half to death."
"Not a lot of people can take advantage of you." Jungkook laughed.
"Exactly, I also kicked that tall stupid bodyguard in the groin for my mom."
"Next time, let me deal with the men for you."
"No, it's fine, I can handle them," Lisa said as she took a small sip of champagne.
"Wow, this is really good champagne, what's the brand?"
"It's not a big brand, so you might not know it. It's my personal favorite flavor of champagne."
"So, you've prepared pasta, salad, and champagne. Do you plan on asking me a favor? Like they say, 'those who appear nice for no reason are always looking for something in return'," Lisa smiled as she asked her husband.
"If you have to put it that way, then I have to admit, I was hoping that we can consume enough calories and energy to make a baby after dinner."
"Ahem..." Lisa was speechless at how Jungkook was able to say what he said so shamelessly.
"Jungkook, why do you have to be this dirty-minded."
"Weren't you the one who brought this up?" Jungkook looked back at her innocently.
"So you plan on latching onto this topic forever, huh?"
"At least until the birth of our first child..."
Lisa, "-_-"
"Fine, you win." Jungkook's scoundrel-like but cute remarks left her at a loss for words.
After dinner, it was still Jungkook that washed the dishes. Lisa seriously felt like she wasn't good at house chores anymore, at least not in front of Jungkook.
He moped the floor faster than she did, and he washed the dishes cleaner than she did.
Even the food he made was tastier. Western food, at least.
Therefore, her husband was an all-purpose, high-quality husband. He could make money AND cook her delicious meals.
After Jungkook finished cleaning up, he sat by Lisa and proceeded to watch boring cartoons with her.
The two of them chit-chatted while eating chips...
"Do you think your mom will hate me forever?"
"What makes you think that?" Jungkook looked down and asked her gently.
"I read on the internet that mothers-in-law are mortal enemies with their daughters-in-law. It's as if the mother-in-law played the same video game on the same account for a really long time, and bought a bunch of level-up items to one day find that her account was hacked by someone named 'daughter-in-law'. How do you think she would feel?"
"Um...where do you hear stuff like this?" Jungkook asked in shock.
"On the internet. Also, do you know why the paternal grandmother usually likes her granddaughter-in-law?"
"I don't." Jungkook shook his head.
Lisa finished chewing the chips in her mouth and slowly said, "That's because 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.'"
"Um..."
"Okay, doll, you win this time," Jungkook was once again impressed by the existence that is the internet.
