Background

Soulmates have always existed. Some people go their entire lives waiting to meet their other half. Some move on, tired of waiting. At the age of 21, people are given the chance to set their destiny in motion with the soulmate injections. These injections reveal, through a variety of side effects, the person's soulmate, depending on each patient's physiology and genetic makeup. There is just one catch.

This choice cannot be undone.

Everyone is free to choose whether they want to find their soulmate, or find love for themselves. Unfortunately, this leaves room for errors in the system. Like previously stated, some never meet or are rejected by their other halves. These special exceptions are simply known as the "unrequited". Taken over by their side effects without a soulmate to help them, they are left to succumb to the sickness in their hearts.

Only their soulmate can ease their sickness.

Disclaimer:
The only things I own in this story are my original characters and the plot. All pictures, songs, and people used do not belong to me. That being said, some of the characters in the story might have a few personality differences to fit with the plot.

There are no specific ages, but the story does take place in an augmented universe where soulmates exist. This does mean that in this story, Stray Kids are not idols. They are regular college age kids whose jobs/majors will be revealed throughout the course of the book. I do plan on this being a series, so please let me know if you have any ideas regarding future books! I love to hear y'all's input!
