4~ surprises and chismis

"Bakit nandito ka? Are you surprising me?" Julien asked as we reached the end of the hallway.

"Ha? Feeler. Hindi ah, I'm supposed to ask you that." I complained.

"Excuse me, akong nauna dito. Theresean ako since grade school. Akala ko nga kanina minumulto mo na ako. I saw you during orientation but I wasn't sure." He said.

"Wait, you were there? Eh bakit ka nalate?"

"Kasi...basta. Not the point. So why are you here?" He scowled. Then we both realized at the same time. Our parents.

"Ah..." We said in unison.

"But why didn't they tell us?" I asked.

"I'm 100% sure dad suggested this."

I asked him why tapos inexplain niya how Tito Javi is the biggest fan of surprises. Not sure why they would think it's a good surprise. That part we both agreed on. Julien also shared na one of the board of directors si Tito sa school when I asked bakit dito ako nilipat. Then he also bragged about STU's track record in the academe and sports department. Like he was sure na enough reason yun. Wow ha. Sabi ko naman it was probably my mom's idea to change schools pero for sure she didn't know where to transfer me. Baka go with the flow lang talaga siya sa suggestion ni Tito. Then we commented on the seriousness of their relationship that we didn't expect.

"Same. But let's not talk about it here." He said.

"Agreed. We'll probably see each other every weekend anyway." I muttered.

"Kaumay." He teased, waiting for my reaction.

"Wow ha? Mas nakakaumay ka." I exclaimed. Gigil talaga ako nitong mokong na to. Inirapan ko siya at naglakad pabalik ng classroom namin.

"Huy, joke lang." He chased after me.

Pagdating sa room wala nang katao tao. Shoot, di ko alam saan ang cafeteria. Lumingon ako at hinihintay ako ni Julien with a sneer on his stupid face.

"Tara." He said, knowing I had no choice but to go with him.

We reached the cafeteria which was in the next building. I was looking for Cassidy so I wasn't aware na ang daming nakatitig samin. Narealize ko nalang nung nasa table na. She was with two other girls.

"Hey." I greeted her. All smiles pa ako. I noticed kalahati na yung food nila. Shoot, I have to buy food na.

"Sorry I left you kanina. Akala ko kasi may kasama ka nang kakain." Cassidy told me, eyeing someone behind me. Her two friends were also looking at someone.

"Huh?" I said and found Julien still behind me.

"We're...old friends." He said. I just looked at him. Old friends?? "Talk to you later. Bye."

We followed him with our eyes as he made his way to his friends' table. Nakatingin din sila and were probably asking him about us already. Umupo nalang ako and was about to ask Cassidy about food recommendations. Sis tomguts nako.

"Andy. Spill. You know Julien Araneta?" She asked with wide eyes. The other girls in our table were also waiting for my answer.

"Uh, we're old friends. Like he said." Sabi ko nalang. Ano ba yan, kaaga aga dramarama na naman. I can't really catch a break.

"Really? How? Since when? Tell us everything!"

"Bili lang akong food." I told them. Naoverwhelm ako sa tanong nung friend ni Cassidy. Makabili na nga muna ng pagkain. Gutom na ako. I can't handle more drama.
