"Must be from swimming.. Wanna ride now?" he asked and I raised a brow.

"Sure." I said annoyed.

He sat on his ikran making the bond and I sat behind him, crossed arms.

"Hold onto me." he said and I refused.

"I'm good." I said and he smirked.

"Whatever you say.." He said before flying up. The moment he went up I hugged him tight around his waist, refusing to open my eyes.

We were flying for a bit.

"Y/N?"

"What?!"

"Open your eyes.."

"No! I'm scared.."

"Just open them.."  He said and I sighed and opened them slightly.

They were a bit squinted, but I ended up fully opening them when I saw the view.

We were above the clouds, the moon was huge up here..  Many, many stars around it. It was beautiful.

"Woah.." I said as I let go of his waist, straightening my back.

"Hey, Y/N? Do you trust me?" he asked and I hummed in response.

"Then you might wanna hold on again." I did as he said, and he suddenly flew down with his Ikran. He turned the Ikran in a 180, allowing it to touch the water with his wings.

As he flew, his wings brushing through the water, he made giant waves splashing me and Neteyam. As he flew up in the sky again I laughed. I dont remember when the last time I had this much fun was.

We flew for a few minutes before he stopped at some Mountain. We got off the Ikran, and he sat down on the grass taking in a deep breath.

"The air feels so different up here.." He said leaning on a tree. I was smelling some flowers in the meantime.

"The oxygen level is higher here. This is one of the highest mountains on the islands." I said before sitting down next to him.

We were silent for a few seconds, but it wasn't awkward. I felt comfortable in his presence, even if we dont say nor do anything.

I decited to break the silence, but before I did I looked at him only to relise he was looking at me already.

"We should do that again.." I said and he raised a brow.

"What?"

"We should ride your Ikran together more.. I'm taking a liking to it. " he smiled.

"You know, one day, I'm going to take you to the forest, my home. There you can find your own Ikran.." he said making my eyes sparkle.

"Really? I would love to! I heard a lot of stories about how you bond with them. Is it true their mountain floats in the air?" I asked and he nodded his head. "It must be beautiful.. Our islands and the waters are very pretty too, but I'd love something different for a change."

"It really is beautiful in the forest." he said, relaxing his smile and sighing. I completly forgot about the situation he was in.

I scooted closer to him, leaning my head on his shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about the sky people. They aren't going to win. I know it."

He put his hand around me. "If you say so. When they do lose, I'm taking you to the forest with me." I smiled at his words.

"I'd love to, Neteyam. But my grandma.. My friends, I cant leave them." I said sitting up to look at him.

"I don't know what to tell you.. Is that really what you want tho?" he asked. I thought for a second as we held eye contact.

True, I wanted to run away from here with Neteyam, but at the same time I don't wanna lose my grandmother. She is my everything..

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait until my grandmother gets better." I said and he smiled brushing his hand through my hair.

"Alright. I'll be wherever you are." I blushed, kissing him. He kissed me back, putting his hands on my waist.

I continued to kiss him, this time inserting my tongue in his mouth. Sitting on top of him, he started to lower his hands down to my butt.

He broke the kiss, moving his mouth to my neck. He kissed me gently on the neck making me sigh. This was way more intense than last time..

Time skip to when they came back, and Y/N went back home.

By the way, NO, Neteyam and Y/N didn't do anything nasty. All they did was make out, nothing more.

As I got back in my pod, I stretched my back. I went over to a mirror to check out the hickeys I got from ahem.

I hissed as I applied pressure on them. I couldnt help but smile at the memories. My smile faded tho, once I looked in the mirror at my grandmas bed.

She wasn't there.

I quickly turned around, heart beat speeding up.

"Granny.. Granny!" I looked all around the pod, but she was never to be found. I cried in fear the people who murdered my parents got her too.

I got out of my pod, looking around, And there she was.

A bit in the distance, in the water, Ilus swimming around her, her back facing me revealing her big tattoo.

She turned around, looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile.

"Grandma?"
