Stories are just made up lies that was spouted by someones own imagination to another's mind for their own amusement,

And yet,

A piled up lie will end up becoming the truth one day;

...as the saying goes, whether it was from hypnotism or some sort of weird magic in play.

So,

Doesn't that... make fantasies real?

.

.

.

Pfft-

He laughed at his own thoughts.

It was a stupid question in the first place. Fantasy and Reality are two completely different things in the first place. A fiction is not Reality, and Reality is... not fiction. That was what everyone had always told him.

But of course, they had never thought how reality can sometimes be stranger than fiction itself. And how..

He leaned towards the window, taking the view of the tall tower into his sight.

more wonderful it can be...

. . .

Barrow soaked into the bath that was prepared by Bernard,

It was still not enough to completely subdue the pain from the unbalanced plate. But it was still enough to calm it down a bit. Especially with the Sky's ancient power being more active in this kind of environment.

He took a scoop of the dead mana with both of his palms and brought the liquid to his mouth; drinking some of it in a single gulp.

Beads of the fluid that didn't get consumed had trickled down to his throat and back down to the pool beneath; The trail of the fallen droplets marks his skin like an obvious ink stain on top of a porcelain cutlery utensil.

He hadn't taken off his mask for a long time now, so the lack of it was an odd feeling to have. Especially with the added view in his field of vision.

Yet, it wasn't like he could take that mask off whenever he wanted to to begin with. There was a reason why he used that mask in the first place. A very important reason... A reason so important, he couldn't remember why.

But it was important,

It was given to him by that God who had promised him Immortality after all. If he were to start questioning it,

Who should he even trust?

So...-

Bang Bang Bang

Barrow coughed, spitting out his choke that got stuck in his throat after he was startled at the sudden loud noise.

It was such a thunderous roar that was only possible if it was from some sort of Bomb going off.

"Bernard,"

The White star called, his head facing the direction where the sound came from. Completely hiding his face from where Bernard had arrived. "Go check the situation out"

"Excuse me, My liege. I will be back after checking"

"Yes,"

It was an unfortunate case in the most unfortunate timing.

White star got up from his bath and wrapped himself in a towel. It would be better if he also got ready in case something unexpected were to happen.

White star began looking around the table that was in the opposite corner of the room.

He was looking around with only a bathrobe covering his body.

Now... where was his mask again...?

He swore he put it on top of the table when he took it off. There was no way that he would forget and misplace something so important.

Srrk

Srrk...

The White star kept on darting his eyes left and right.

Trying to figure out where he had put his mask at.

Srrk

Srrk...

He was starting to panic,

The nervousness and anxiety started to cloud his vision and thoughts.

That mask was a special item from that God from the Demonic realm. It was the only thing that could suppress the Sky's ancient power when he was not near a body of dead mana.

So losing that mask was rather fatal for him-

"It's been a while, Hyung"

A voice,

A sickeningly twisted sounding voice echoed from behind him. A voice that made him involuntarily shivered.

It was almost like an instinct that he had activated his fire and shot it towards the direction where he had heard that voice originated from. But even that was easily extinguished by a silver holy looking light.

It was only after the light was put out when White Star could see who the owner of the voice was. "It's you..."

Red hair that reached his waistline, A wide smile that stretched from ear to ear and... a crazed look on his face that made him look a bit dazed... Someone who was supposed to be dead,

"How are you alive?"

White star took a step back, he doesn't know how, but the person in front of him was excluding some sort of pressure that even he, who had the Sky ancient power, felt small.

"That's mean of you, Hyung..." The person was laughing joyfully, akin to a child's laughter; But, it only gave the White star goosebumps instead. "You can't kill me off that easily you know~"

The white star could feel something reaching on his ankles, a restraint- "Who said who can run away, Hyung?" The perpetrator asked innocently.

"Cale..."

Cale leisurely walked towards the White star and waved a metal object that looked like a mask in his hand. "So you did remember me." His voice had dropped, the childish voice from before completely disappeared. "How have you been, Hyung?"

The white star could only watch as the younger placed the mask that was always on his face, onto the top of his head. Those long and slender fingers of his caress the White star's face and towards his cheeks.

He flinched, but Cale didn't seem to care.

"You know," he started, "This is probably the first time I've seen you without a mask covering your face."

The grip Cale had on his face was tightening, as if he was trying to squash White star's face into a pulp and kill him.

"You have quite the exotic face, Hyung. But you are just as good looking as I thought"

But he didn't,

Cale had only placed his mask back to where it was supposed to be... At least, that was what White star had first thought before the other had unashamedly caressed his earlobe and pinched it, even daring to play with his hair that wasn't held up by anything.

"I missed you, Hyung..."

The white star was petrified, turning into a makeshift statue on the spot.
