White star stood in front of a pile of bound up rats that were wiggling around like worms,

His eyes, devoid of any emotions, was scanning at the said rats that were sprawled across the floor under his feet. Soaked by their own blood, barely alive.

Fire crackled from his fingertips after being over used,

"Was this every last of them?"

He pushed a body that was in his way across the room with his wind's ancient power, which it later collided with the wall and stained it.

"No, my liege. There were some that managed to escape" Dorph reported, his fragile figure was hunched low from bowing, but there was no fear on his face, "But don't worry. My men are currently chasing them as we speak"

White star didn't even glance at him before he headed towards the throne-like seat at the furthermost part of the room.

With every step he took, the hems of his long robe was slowly dyed in red from the enemy's blood; But he couldn't care less.

"Kill them all..."

He said, sitting down on the throne, he slumped to the side with a sole hand massaging his temples. His head was already throbbing from his continuous usage of the ancient powers.

He had to quickly find the remaining water and earth ancient powers to balance his plate;

The bear king that was checking on the bodies to make sure they were incapacitated, looked at his liege worriedly.

His worries were not unfounded, the white star had been fighting for almost two days straight trying to root out all the rats. Since the others were busy fighting for the eastern's underworld control, the white star himself had to step down to help fight this time around.

Sayeru could see the small trail of blood seeping through his liege's nose.

"Don't leave any behind,"

. . .

"How is the preparation going, Ron?" Cale put on a glove to warm himself up from the morning breeze

Ron stopped what he was doing and faced his young master with his infamously famous smile in the mansion. He had been directing the servant to do a last check up before they leave... But it seems like his young master chose rather plain looking clothing when he wasn't looking.

He really should pay attention to his young master's wardrobe a bit more attentively next time;

"It's going smoothly young master, we just need to pack everything up and it should be all done before our scheduled time"

"I see..."

Ron saw how his young master was eyeing the carriage with tired eyes; He chuckled but was careful enough not to let his young master catch him doing so.

"You can enter the carriage first, young master. I'll wake you up when we make a stop later on the day"

  Cale also didn't bother with the formality and entered the carriage that was prepared for him as soon as he heard the confirmation that it was okay to do so. He had woken up way too early for his liking. He sank to the soft quilt of the sofa and rested his head to the windowsill.

He had already said his goodbye's to his family the day before since he didn't want to trouble his younger siblings by having to wake up too early. And... so he didn't have to do so again today.

This would be the first time he would have to go to the capital without any of his family members with him,

He wonders how much that place had changed...
