I wake up to my alarm, rubbing my eyes.
Jesus. I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
As my senses return to my body, I feel a hand holding mine.
How could I forget?
Not long after, Xavier wakes up.
Realizing where he is, he sits up, looking frantic.

"Shit." He mumbles as he stands up.

"Don't worry. Yoko didn't wake up. You might be able to sneak out in time to not get caught." I say, knowing that wasn't what he was shocked about.

We were both confused on how he had spent the night. Didn't I hate him yesterday?
At this point, I didn't even care about the monster. I feel like I've lost my mind. Shouldn't I feel scared?
I start getting ready, changing out of my pajamas and into my uniform.
Xavier stays silent, looking into his journal.

"Can I see?" I smile, putting on a jacket over my uniform shirt.

He shuts his journal quickly, hiding its contents.
Looking to me, his eyes search me from my head to my toes.

"Nice jacket." He smirks.

I send him a confused look before looking down.
My luck. It was his jacket.

"Get over yourself Thrope." I joke.

He smiles, moving to my window to sneak back out.

"Xavier?" Yoko asks groggily.

"Out out out." I push him lightly with my powers, trying to get him out before Yoko can fully wake up.

"Why the hell was your ex boyfriend just in here?" She sits up.

"He had a homework question." I avoid eye contact.

"And it couldn't wait until later?" She raises her eyebrow.

"Nope." I smile, walking out the door.

She definitely knows.

It was now officially Wednesday's birthday. We already celebrated, so I'm guessing we wouldn't really do anything for her today.
Walking to class, I see Wednesday talking to Xavier in front of the lawn.

'Fire will rain' burned into the grass.
We had already seen it with Enid.
I walk up to the pair, linking arms with Wednesday.

"Morning sis. Xavier." I say, trying to keep cool.

"You know where to find me if you ever need some help." Xavier tells Wednesday, walking away.
That was weird.

"Your vision this morning. What happened?" She says blankly.

"Nothing happened. Literally nothing. I felt the monster there, but I couldn't find it. Then I heard your voice and tried to find you. That's when I woke up." I say quickly.

"Okay. I had a vision this morning too. I saw this. Do you know where this is?" She asks, pulling out a drawing.

"Nope. Sorry. Maybe Xavier would know. Ask him." I suggest with a smile.

"Not happening. You do it." She says.

I pretend to be annoyed.

"Ugh. Fine." I have to fight the smile creeping up my face.

"Here." She hands me the drawing.

"I'll do it after school. One more skip and I'll have to go to Principal Weems." I smile.

School feels like a time loop, never ending.
A light buzz in my pocket distracts me.
Xavier's name on my phone makes many emotions rush through my body.
The shape of his name spells out happiness.

meet in the quad.
i'm not letting you walk alone in the woods.
especially after this morning.

After class, I walk to the quad. Xavier is leaning on a table, looking around excitedly.
I sneak behind him, tapping him on the shoulder.

"Oh my god." He breaths in sharply.

"Let's go." I smile, linking my arm in his.

I see Enid on the way out to the woods.
Her jaw drops at the sight of Xavier and I so friendly.
I laugh, speeding up my pace to avoid her interviews.
