"It is a bit cold down here..." Ahri picks up the talk

"You mean, it would be warmer under the roof?",

"It would be worth a try, wouldn't it?" she gives a shy smile, her ears a bit bent towards her, the tail moving just a bit.

"Yeah, maybe it really is a bit warmer upstairs", it is like someone could hear the blush coming off of my voice

"Let me just get some clothes, alright?" she gives me a peck on the lips before vanishing into her room.

A/n: hehe little detail, it's "her room" not "towards the guest room"

I did not have to wait long, as just a minute after I got myself under the blanket, the door opens just a bit enough for Ahri to look through, a bit shy, before coming in.

She wears the same oversized shirt as always, I don't really know if she wears something beneath it, or if it is like the first rainy night.

For the moment, I didn't really care as you lift up the blanket.

The first minutes feel a bit awkward, but as she snuggles up towards me, Ahri becoming the little spoon. It feels like you two did this a thousand times already, my right arm over her hip on her stomach, just being the big spoon.

A night that doesn't feel cold, a night where I won't wake up alone yet again, something that feels so special and so needed.

"Good night, Ahri" I whisper into her ear. Ahri's tails wrapped around me as we both fall asleep.

The morning feels way warmer than yesterday, some rays of sunshine already beam through the curtains. Ahri seems still fast asleep, a low purring escaping from her mouth, she somehow looks even more beautiful with her hair a bit messy.

Giving her a kiss on her neck, I enjoy her presence before leaving the bed, maybe surprise her with some actual breakfast, something else other than cereals.

Scrambled eggs should be possible without making too much noise. And while the laid table just waits for the two of you, I stood there again, stirring the mix of eggs, cooking cream and spices, the onions cooking in the pan besides you.

"At it again?" a sudden kiss on my neck, a fang brushing lightly over my skin

"Well, a lot to do today" I smiled

"Really?" she almost sounds sad, her ears drooping slightly

"Just finishing the pool, becuase with this bipolar weather i know it's going to get extremely hot" I kiss her cheek

"You think it will be hot again soon? I mean it wouldn't be that hot that soon, right?", she asks.

Her answer is delivered by the sun itself, as the clear sky makes it feel like it never rained. Just as I step out onto the terrace. Ahri wears a white skirt with a black crop top with a light red shirt over it

"Your weather is weird here, what even is this?" she asks looking rather confused and pouty as the summer heat beats down on her

"Your weather is weird here, what even is this?" she asks looking rather confused and pouty as the summer heat beats down on her.

"Even I can't tell you and I lived here for almost my entire life" it really was the truth, nobody is going to believe you, but sometimes it feels like something in the mountains randomly decides the weather and temperature.

At least the water the storm left in the empty pool is pleasantly cooling, even if it is only up to my ankles, it helps against the merciless sun.

"I almost wish for another rainy day" Ahri groans and sighs

"Just those last squares and we are done" we scrubbed the rest of the tiles

"Which one?" she asks, hope on the edge of her voice, but as you point into a general direction, even that seems to die down rather quickly.

"Ahri?" I turn away from the tiled wall, facing her back

"Yeah?" she also turns around.

"I don't want to look nosy and things, but do you need to take another one of those grey vials...?" I chose your words careful.

A defeated sigh, more like I have to tell someone their biggest secret out loud .

"I don't want to push it, okay...."She interrupts you

"No, it is fine, it is more like something to help me to fit into a ... normal... life" she grabs her wrist

"Like some medication against you turning into a normal fox or...?" I try to hide away my worries, but as she begins to laugh, the mood switches over.

"Was I that off?" I asked almost embarrassed

"No, not that much of the truth, a little more complex than me just becoming suddenly becoming an average fox, but close to that" she still laughs, a few tears in her eyes.

"Come on, how should I know?" I feel a bit insulted, crossing your arms

"Yeah, I know sorry baby" she still wheezes a bit

"It is something common between Vastayas, but something only a small percentage of people know about, I forget this sometimes, sorry." She really seems to mean it, even rubbing her arm a bit

"Don't worry about it, it is not like you will suddenly kiss a fox or wake up and I turned into dust, but it is a somewhat..." she gestures around a bit "...it is a very personal thing, could I tell you tomorrow, maybe.... Eventually?" You smirk

"If you give me an English-Fox dictionary, it is a deal" I smiled

"I will not turn into a normal fox" she snickers, kicking the water, splashing some towards me

"I will judge that tomorrow" I give her a soft kiss, which she returns
