XIV: Training With Devils [Part 1]

"A demon, more specifically a demonkin," Kazuki responded. Riser was now furious, he lunged at Balak. The demonkin grins, swiftly moving to the side. His sword was now on Riser's neck.

"Hmm, Devil. Seems...delicious, my sword will enjoy killing you," Balak says. "Don't kill him. All you needed to do was scare them," Kazuki says. Balak scoffs and backs off.

The room stayed quiet until Rias spoke up. "Grayfia, tell my brother I agree to the rating game," she announced. "I will inform him immediately," Grayfia says.

Riser walks over to his peerage, he looks back at Kazuki and Balak in disgust. "This action against Riser will not go unpunished, watch your back," he stated. "Looking forward to it," Kazuki says. "Yes, can't wait to keep your head as a treasure," Balak comments.

"Riser," Rias started. "Believe me when I say we will annihilate you."

"I look forward to it, dear," Riser says. "Riser will see you at the game." He and his peerage are covered with fire as they teleport away.

Rias lays Issei on the couch. Kazuki and Asia walk over to the unconscious boy. "Asia, can you heal him please?" Kazuki asked. "Of course," Asia agreed. "Thank you for doing this," Rias says to the two.

"Ten days," Grayfia says. "I think we can all agree that's fair," she continued. "You sure?" Rias questioned. "Considering your youth and lack of experience and Lord Riser's prowess, I've decided that assigning a handicap would be appropriate," Grayfia stated.

"I think you may be right. Extra time to train would be very useful, for all of us. Thanks, I accept the offer."

"Cool, I will come too," Kazuki says. "Who knows, I may also learn a few things." He turns to look at Asia, "How about you?"

"Sure, it sounds like fun," she says. "Okay, then it is settled," Grayfia says. The devil then took her leave.

"I don't want to see any of you slacking off," Balak stated. Everyone except for Asia and Kazuki stared at the demon. "Your friend here means business, where'd you even find him?" Kiba questioned.

Kazuki smirked, "If the training goes well, I will show you. You'll just have to wait for now.

"Okay, I will get everything ready. We will start tomorrow," Rias says.

Rias' peerage left to go to their homes, same for Kazuki and Asia.

In his room, Kazuki checked on his stats.

"I'll put 20 points in intelligence and 20 points in vitality."

[Intelligence: 189]

[Vitality: 190]

[Remaining Points: 0]

"I've been meaning to ask, how exactly does your power work?" Asia questioned. "From what I've experienced I can say it works like a game. To be more specific, an RPG game. I'm basically a game character in real life."

"Is that your sacred gear?" She questioned. "No, it's different from you and Issei's," he says. "Were you born with it?" She asked. "Well, actually, a fallen angel nearly killed me. I was on the brink of death when I got a weird notification. I couldn't touch it though. I said yes to it and now here I am. If I refused, I would be dead."

"I'm glad you accepted, without you I would still be working with the fallen angels. Thank you," Asia says. "You don't need to thank me, I just did what I thought was right," Kazuki replied.

The Next Morning

Kazuki, Asia, and the Devils were at the training ground Rias set up. Koneko, Kiba, and Issei had their luggage on their backs. Issei was the one struggling, "Why do I have to have this on my back?" Issei questioned. "C'mon it's not that bad. You'll be fine," Rias says.

"Yeah, get over it," Kazuki said. "Says you, you're not even carrying anything," said Issei. "Sucks to suck," Kazuki says.

"Let's head inside and get going on this training," Rias announced. "But we just got here, that's evil and nowhere even close to fair!" Issei comments. "You'll thank me later," Rias says.
