Chapter 7

Katy's P.O.V

January 2

I wake up and John is up watching tv in our room

" John we leave today"

" where"

" John! For Grace's birthday we have to be in the airport at 3 what time is it now"

" it's 12 "

" oh shit let's get up and pack"

I get up and go to the bathroom then go back out and start packing my things and go to Grace's room to get her clothes

" mommy!" She says I get in

" hey"

" I wanna eat"

" ok go tell daddy"

I take Grace's clothes then Hope's clothes and pack them then lay Hope on our bed till I finish packing everything as John is making breakfast.

I finish packing everything then carry Hope down the stairs to the kitchen counter the where the breakfast was

" mm I smell pancakes and bacon"

" I made this one for you!" Grace says as she put the pancake she made me on my plate

" aw thank you"

" and I made the little one her breakfast" he says as he takes Hope from my arms and feeds her, her bottle.

We finish breakfast and I wash the dishes

John put Hope and Grace in the living room to watch a movie

" need to talk to you about something serious" he whispers in my ear as I wash the dishes

" about what "

" work, Tamra called me and your record label said they'll have to cut you off if you don't start touring this year or do anything"

" don't they know that I have kids and a life though"

" Katy you have nothing to worry about if you're on tour "

" but Grace will start kindergarten this year and I can't miss that"

" you won't we'll make sure things will work out so you'll be here with us or we could be with you for things like this, don't worry"

" ok" I sigh

I clean up the table wash my hands then go sit in the living room with John Grace and Hope

" so what are you watching" I say as I sit on the couch

" smurfs" Grace says

" We haven't told her yet right"

I wink

I go next to her and whisper into her ear a smurfette line to freak her out

" I kissed a smurf and I liked it "

" AH you're not a smurf"

We all just laugh

2:30

" mom and dad should be here to pick us up any second" I tell John

" ok let's put our bags by the door"

5 minutes later the doorbell rings

I get up to open it

" hey mom hey dad"

" hey how are you" my mom asks

" fine thank and how are you too"

" we're great" my dad replies
