Chapter 3

Katy's P.O.V - Tuesday

" wake up Kate" I hear John say as he tickles me

" no stop Johnn" I laugh

" it's 6 am and we have so much to do today "

" yeah I'm gonna get dressed and please wake Grace" I say as I go up to the bathroom

I go to the bathroom and go back out once I've finished

" Kate what's up with her"

" what happened and why isn't she up"

" she kicked me and said she didn't want to"

" I don't know, I'll try" I say as I go next to her

" grace baby wake up"

" no move " she swings her arms and hits the bruise I have from when Russell punched me on my stomach

" ouch" I say as i bend down and John runs over to me

" are you ok"

" yeah yeah" I say as I close my eyes as hard I can

" wake up!" He screams as he pushes Grace

" John calm down" I look over at Grace and she's still sleeping

" no Kate, let's go we need to get you to a hospital "

John looses his temper and slaps Grace on the face

" John no you've took this too far"

" too far Katy? She's got everything she wants she shouldn't be acting  this way"

" John enough just help me and let's go"

" wait!" Grace runs to the door

" where do you think you're going" John says while holding the door in one hand and me in the other

" with you"

" no you're staying here till you become a good girl and don't hurt mommy" John closes the door and she starts crying

" John what are you thinking she's just a kid , ouch "

" ugh, does it still hurt"

A minute passes by and Grace cries so much

I go down to her level as she still cries, I get closer to her to hug her but she runs back and screams

" I don't want you"

" John just stay back I'll talk to her"

" I'll stay in the bathroom"

" Grace what's wrong"

" you always want Hope not me"

" but she isn't even here, you know we're looking for her and if all our attention isn't on you then I'm sorry but your sisters a baby"

" you hate me"

Wait what did she just say. did I hear what she just said or did I hear something else.

" what'd you just say"

" you and daddy don't like me"

" Grace after everything I've ever done for you you're saying that I hate you" I say as I put my head in my hands and cry

" mommy why are you crying"

I ignore her and go to the bathroom to John.

" Katy what happened"

" she says I hate her, she says we hate her"

" Katy she's just a kid she doesn't know what she's saying" he says reminding me what I told him

" well yeah she's just a kid but those words hurt my feelings"

" let me go deal with her "

" no John can we just go to the hospital"

" yeah ok and she'll have to come with us"

We step out of the bathroom and Grace comes running up to me

" I'm sorry mommy " she says as she cries and hugs me

I go down to her level with pain from my stomach

" it's ok baby now let's get going, but you promise you'll never say what you just said and do the same " I hug her as she nods then get up and hold her hand

" where are we going" she asks

" hospital"

" no why"

" you hit me in the stomach when we tried waking you up this morning"

" oops"

We get in a cab and head to the closest hospital.

The doctor put some gel on my bruise and we left .

" where are we going now daddy" she asks John

" Starbucks" he says as we get in a taxi and head to Starbucks

15 minutes later we get to Starbucks

We get in Starbucks and sit at a corner table

" I'll go and order our usuals" John says as he gets up from his chair and goes to order

2 minutes later he comes back with my coffee and his and a donut and water for Grace

He puts the tray down and I put the donut in front of Grace and get my drink.

I open my phone to the Twitter to Russells account and read his last tweet and open the location

" John! Check Russells last tweet on Twitter, it says that he's in Kuwait though we now Hope is with his friend"

" which means if we find Russell then..."

" then we find his friend and find Hope"

" ok Kate let me just call officer Tate "

John puts the phone on speaker and seconds later he answers.

" Hello? Officer Tate?"

" yes hello Mr.Mayer"

" hello do you have any information about my daughter"

" in fact I do not but I've got some great news "

" which is"

" I'm actually in Kuwait right now here to help you with your daughter and I'm glad to tell you I know where Russell is staying"

" Great where?"

" he's in this area called Taima "

" mhm"

" now John I understand that you might be quite lost in this country and that's why I'm here to help"

" yes thank you, would we be able to go today" John asks

" sure, meet me at your hotel in an hour so at 10"

" ok" John hangs up

" I think we should go back to the hotel and rest" i say

" yeah and look at who has slept with a donut in her mouth" he says pointing to Grace next to me and I laugh

I tickle her and she jumps

" get up lazy head we're leaving"

At the hotel

" John its ten fifteen can you call officer Tate and ask where he is"

" just wait he'll be here, you've seen how much traffic there is"

5 minutes later

* knock knock*

A/N : short chapter cause I've been super busy and haven't posted cause I was sick! I'm so sorry. I know it's bad but I promise the other chapters will be better I just had to type this one really quick.
