Chapter 2

Katy's P.O.V - Sunday 11 am

I wake up and look to my left and Grace is in Hope's crib still sleeping but John isn't next to me.

I get my phone and unlock it and just as I'm about to call John walks in the door with a tray in his hands.

" good morning my love" he says

" good morning, any news" I ask

" no nothing"

He says as he puts the tray down

" John I don't wanna eat"

" Katy you have to"

I shook my head no as I looked down at the food, there was a hard boiled egg and 2 pieces of bacon.

" just leave me alone" I run out of my room to Graces room and lay on her bed sobbing.

About 3 minutes later
John comes in

" just leave me alone"

" Katy I can't, you have to be strong if not for me then for our kids"

" kids? You mean kid"

" Katy don't loose hope"

" I can't, I try my best and at the end this is what happens and it's all my fault"

" nothing's your fault"

He sits next to me and I rest my head on his chest .

5 minutes later we go back to our room yet Grace is still sleeping.

" we shouldn't have let her stay up that late last night" I say

" first and last time, aren't you gonna eat"

" I'm sorry John I don't feel like eating"

" ok I'll keep it for later "

12 pm

Grace wakes up and jumps to our bed and lays in between John and I.

" did Hope come back" she asks

" soon " I say

" so what do you two wanna do today" John asks

" just sleep"

" I wanna play mommy"

" ok I'll take you to the park some other day to play, I promise"

John's phone rings and he puts it on speaker

" good afternoon is this John"

" yes it is "

" great, I just wanted to tell you that we haven't found anything about your daughter and haven't seen a baby similar to your description or that man, but we'll keep working on this case "

" thank you" He hung up

" what'd he say"

" nothing but that they're still looking for her"

" John I can't handle this anymore, I need to call one of Russells friends, help me look for my old phone."

It takes us around 15 minutes to find it

I unlock my old iPhone and go through the contacts and I find it.

" should I call now"

" yeah Katy what are you waiting for, call"

I call the number

" ello, who is this"

" hey it's Katy is this Mike"
