Unholy (Rain x Reader)

Life Underground

    After running from the cafeteria to the basement Swiss still had his hand on my wrist. Me and Swiss ate in the common room along with Aether, Mountain and Cirrus just talking about random things like their band practice and interesting things they saw while on patrol. Like Mountain saw a nasty break up in one of the halls and they were yelling at each other. Cirrus was the one who caught the vampire the other day and took the person to the hospital wing. She found the vampire in one of the halls that our rooms are in. That sent a shiver down my spine what were they doing there? Why were they there?

   As we continued to eat our lunch we heard footsteps coming down to see Rain coming into the room. He looked at the five of us the at me and Swiss because we were sat next to each other. He looked guilty by the way he was standing and his tail hulling low behind him barely swaying behind him as he walked past us to head to his room.

    "Rain come eat with us!" Aether exclaimed brightly.

   "Oh um sure." He spoke as if he was caught off guard as he came back over he sat right next to me his tail wrapped around one of the legs of my chair. Aether passed him some food and Rain began to eat with us.

I was thinking for a moment as I ate and thought about how weird it is that I'm sitting in a room with demonic creatures and that just a few months ago I was going to church every Sunday. I smiled to myself at my new found friends.

Lilith would've loved it here. I thought then laughed at a joke Aether told. It went along the lines of 'What did the llama say he would bring on the field trip? Alpaca lunch!' He's really good at corny dad jokes which we all could appreciate.

"What are you thinking about lovebug ?" Rain whispered in my ear so close I swore I could feel him smile on my ear so no one at the table could hear what he said to me.

   Nothing much. I signed under the table so no one saw.

   Come back to my room when we are done, please. Rain signed under the table as well.

   I couldn't help but smile. Of course!

   "What are you two smiling about?" Cirrus asked light heartedly.

   "We are still laughing at Aether's joke." Rain completely lied with a wide smile.

   We finished eating so we cleaned up and before Swiss could even talk to me Rain grabbed my wrist and we ran to his room. He opened the door as we went in and closed it behind us. Rain swallowed me in a hug it felt nice and full of passion but it also felt like it came out of nowhere however I wasn't complaining. I hugged back and let out a giggle as he burred his masked face  in my neck. He quickly pulled away I could see his wide eyes through the mask. He stopped and stared at me for a second his hands fell to around my waist.

   "That was absolutely adorable." He spoke just above a whisper. He went back to hugging me with his face back in my neck. "Please don't leave I can't lose you." He practically whimpered into my neck. I just hugged him back tighter not understanding where this was all coming from but took it all in anyway. "Stephane said that I can go back patrolling tomorrow." He spoke as he loosened his grasp on me.

   Yay I get to see you everyday again! Well and I get to talk to you. I laughed but it was silent again. Rain frowned at this.

   "Yeah we do get to see each other again." Rains smile came back to him.

   Are you feeling alright? I asked concerned.

   "I feel amazing right now, thank you." He smiled warmly down at me.

   "I'm sorry about what happened last week and I'm sorry you had to see my face-."

   Oh please don't worry about it you look amazing. Though you probably look much better now then you did when you were unconscious.

   He let out a little laugh then rubbed the back of his neck.

   "You weren't supposed to see it regardless, I could've gotten in trouble." I gave a confused look. "Humans aren't supposed to see ghouls faces I don't really know why I think it's just a tradition that we follow pretty heavily." He told me.

   That makes sense. 'Not gonna force you to show your face. I tried to tell him.

   "Thank you (Y/n)." He smiled.

   "What are you two doing in there better not be watching any new movies without me!" We heard Swiss yell through the door.

   "Leave Rain alone Swiss!" The fire ghost yelled at Swiss.

   "Fuck you Dewy!" Swiss yelled as he walked away from the door.

    You live with these people? I silently chuckled.

   "They are ghouls and unfortunately I do." Rain laughed as he put his face in his hand. "An interesting bunch they are."

   I love them they are so funny especially Aether's dad jokes. I huffed in laughter as a reference to Rains lie from before.

   "Right of course of course." Rain chuckled. "They are very funny. Even Sodo once you get to know him I know you probably think differently."

   No I can see it I know I haven't talked to him much but him and Swiss's banter is very funny. I laughed again.

   "I love when you laugh. When it happens it's the highlight of my week." Rain confessed. I felt my face go warm and I felt fuzzy. I hid my face in my hands as I smiled and felt Rain pick me up and swirl me around before putting me back down moving my hands away from my face.

   "Come on don't hide your pretty face now I love when you smile as well." He let out a little laugh. My face went red as I giggled. "Absolutely adorable." Rain hugged me as tightly as he had before.
