Chapter 18

(Y/N POV)

When Dib and I were walking to the park, Zim stepped in front of us and stopped us in our tracks. "What do you want Zim.?" I say with a sigh. "Oh nothing.. I just wanted to show you THIS!" Zim then shows Dib and I a photo of us sitting underneath the tree. He took the photo when Dib was wiping my face off. I get frustrated. "Why are you doing this Zim!?" Zim smiles an evil smile and says. "So I can see you be tormented, I'm planning to put these all around the school tomorrow. So be prepared." Zim turns around to walk away, but when he lowers his guard I snatch the photo from his alien mitts and rip it in half. He turns around and he's still smirking? Why is he still smirking? He then turns back around and walks away. I turn to Dib with a smile. "Well that was weird, right?" He responds with. "Yeah, but besides it being weird you were really cool back there Y/N." I blush. "You think so?" He nods, and says. "When he left he was still smiling, I wonder why.." I responded with. "Maybe the picture he showed us was a copy, or he's just messing with us." Dib then says. "Yeah, it's probably one of the two." Soon after our little discussion, we finally get to the park, before we got on any of the equipment. We texted our dad's and let them know we were at the park hanging out. The second we sent it, we raced to the swings, Dib got there first while I followed closely behind him. "Beat you!" He said cockily. "Oh shut it" I say jokingly. We then sit on the swings and Dib asks me. "So why did you wanna go to the park?" I respond. "Well it's close to the skool, and it's a very nice place to just, relax." Dib smiles. "Agreed." I look around and see a comfy looking spot in the shade. I then get up and say. "I see a good spot to sit down, wanna go?" I ask Dib. "Yeah sure, I'm down." We walk to the spot and sit. "You picked a good spot Y/N, it's really nice." Dib says, and I smile. "Thanks" Dib and I then lay down and watch the clouds go by. "That one looks like bigfoot!" Dib says enthusiastically pointing at the cloud. "I think that one looks like... A alien!" I say smiling. Dib then says. "What if the one you thought was a alien, actually was a alien!" I say. "That would be so cool." I then feel something nudging my hand, turns out it was Dibs hand. I smile and hold his hand, his warm fingers wrapped around mine. I look over at Dib and see him blushing a little. He's so cute. "H-hey Y/N" I look at Dib. "Yeah?" I said. "Say, if a guy who looked and acted exactly like me, said that they like you and want to be yours. Would you say yes?" Dib asked me. I thought about it for a second, it was a oddly specific question, but Dib asks those all the time so I didn't think much of it. "Well I dunno, It depends, if it was just some random guy approaching me, that I don't even know asking me that, I would say no. But if it was someone I know and trust, I would say yes on the spot." I smile. Dib looks at me and smiles back, blushing a little as always. I check my phone that was in my pocket, my dad texted me saying that I have to be home in a couple minutes. It would take a few to walk there so I might as well go now. I get up and say. "I gotta go Dib, it was fun hanging out with you." Dib gets up and gives me puppy eyes. "Can I at least walk you home?" He said, still with puppy eyes. I can't resist, he's so cute. "Yes Dib, you can walk me home." I say smiling. "Yes!" Dib says, immediately embarrassed afterwards. "I-I mean uh, thanks." He does that cute thing where he does that flustered smile, and scratches the back of his neck. I then take Dibs hand and he walks me home. When we get to my house, I say to Dib. "Thanks for taking me home Dib, I appreciate it" he smiles. "No problem, I will always be able to take you home. Whenever you need." I smile and hug Dib, before I let go, I kiss his cheek, and run to my door. "Bye Dib I'll see you tomorrow!" I say before I go inside. "B-bye" he says holding his hand on his cheek. When I go inside I see Dib walking away, smiling the cute way when he's flustered, looking up at the sky.

(Dibs POV)

While Y/N and I were walking to the park together, Zim pops up. "What do you want Zim.?" Y/N says, I can tell this might be a little dangerous. So I hide behind Y/N just in case. "Oh nothing.. I just wanted to show you THIS!" Zim then shows us a picture of me and Y/N sitting under the tree during lunch. "Why are you doing this Zim!?" Y/N said. I never seen Y/N this mad before, it's kinda spooky. Zim then smiles, not a happy smile, but a evil smile. "So I can see you be tormented, I'm planning to put these all around the school tomorrow. So be prepared." Zim turns around to walk away, but last second Y/N takes the picture and rips it in half, it spooked me a little. Zim then turned around, still smirking. But why? Y/N then turns to me and smiles. "Well that was weird, right?" I say. "Yeah, but besides it being weird you were really cool back there Y/N." She blushes a little, it's adorable. "You think so?" I nod, and say. "When he left he was still smiling, I wonder why.." Y/N thinks for a second, she does that little thing with her hands, she's adorable. Before Y/N and I do anything at the park, we text our dad's, letting them know we were at the park. The second Y/N and I send it, we book it to the swings, I get there first and say. "Beat you!" Y/N then takes me to this very nice spot, it's a space with some grass, with a tree that creates some shade. We sit down and I say. "You picked a good spot Y/N, it's really nice." Y/N smiles. "Thanks" We then lay down in the grass, and watch the clouds go by. Trying to figure out what they look like. "That one looks like bigfoot!" I say excited, pointing at the bigfoot shaped cloud. "I think that one looks like... A alien!" Y/N says happily, I love when she's enthusiastic about things, it's so cute, trying not to dive deep into my thoughts. I respond to Y/N's statement with. "What if the one you thought was a alien, actually was a alien!" She responds with. "That would be so cool." After a couple moments of us just staring into the sky, I nudge Y/N's hand, hoping she notices and takes her hand in mine. Soon after, she does notice, and my wishes come true. She wraps her delicate, warm, hand around mine. I blush, and say. "H-hey Y/N" She looks at me. "Yeah?" I gulp and say. So I think this question will give me at least some info. She responds with. Y/N then takes her phone out of her pocket and looks at it for a few. She then gets up and says. "I gotta go Dib, it was fun hanging out with you." I get up and give her puppy eyes, I then say. "Can I at least walk you home?" Y/N smiles and says. "Yes Dib, you can walk me home." I jump a little and say. "Yes!" Noticing I did all that stuff out loud I'm immediately embarrassed. "I-I mean uh, thanks." I then smile and scratch the back of my neck, Y/N then takes my hand and I walk her home. When we get to Y/N's place, she says to me. "Thanks for taking me home Dib, I appreciate it" I smile and say. "No problem, I will always be able to take you home. Whenever you need." Y/N then smiles and hugs me as usual but something was different this time. Right before she let go.. SHE KISSED MY CHEEK!? While I'm being flabbergasted Y/N runs to her door and says. "Bye Dib I'll see you tomorrow!" I then say. "B-bye" When she heads inside I place my hand on my cheek, smile all flustered like, and walk to my house, looking up at the sky.
