She is friendless,

They won't even allow her to finish her sentence.

She carries the world's weight on her shoulders,

Can't even see the world in its bright colors.

She is in so much pain,

But if she cries out, it'd be in vain.

She tries to get her message across,

Time and time again but they tell her it's false.

Her hope has withered away,

Like the leaves on an Autumn day.

Her dreams are all crushed,

Everything she wanted to do was untouched.

She walks around with her head down,

Nothing in her life seems to be her own.

Mediocre has become her company,

Even when she's alone, she doesn't feel lonely.

Her art goes unseen,

Of all the places she's been.

Her tales are unheard,

Of all the awards she's earned.

She's among us yet nobody knows,

What makes her smile and the meanings behind her tattoos.

She wants to have friends so badly but wants to stay in more,

Trust that the irony is not lost on her.

So, she lives her life in repeat,

Like a radio that broke in the summer heat.

She paints, writes, and sings to herself,

Until she learns that she alone is enough.
