You constantly say what you don't mean,

Never scared of the far, of the unseen.

You lie so often that I can't tell,

The truth you try so hard to sell.

Didn't I confess to you all my secrets,

Didn't I give you the key so my heart starts.

Please treat me better,

Please hug me tighter.

I have lost so many people,

I don't want to lose more.

I don't want to be treated like a little,

So, please don't make me go too far.

Are you there?

Or have you quit just like they do?

So many times I have had to stare,

At calls unanswered and closed doors too.

I ask myself when I will learn,

To trust my gut and stop scars to earn.

God! Please give me people that love me,

People that will appreciate, inspire, and travel with me.
