"Sungie, you're having a child, not you are a child"
Minho stated when he watched his mate sort the gummy bears according to color and size before starting to eat the yellow ones first.
"Yeah and that said child you put in my belly wants me to eat the yellow gummy bears first since they're disgusting. You need to end with the best ones to savor the taste as long as possible."
"Sure, whatever makes you or the pup happy"
The alpha chuckled and decided not to comment on why Jisung was cuddling with his squid plushie he had always made fun of.
He remembered perfectly well how the little omega had laughed the first time Minho had introduced the squid plushie to his mate, how he had told the older male that he wasn't five years old anymore.
"By the way.. I called a gynecologist earlier to make an appointment. We have a date there on Friday at 3pm. I'll have to go there directly from work though so I can't pick you up."
"Does it really have to be Friday? Lix and I wanted to go see the new horror movie that came out yesterday."
"Yes, it has to be Friday since it was the only appointment they offered and it's about time that we make sure everything is okay with the pup. You can go watch the movie on Saturday, I'll go grocery shopping alone then."
"But I want to go on Friday, it's not the same on Saturday! Why can't you understand that.. ..Urgh, I hate you!"
Jisung grumbled and took his plate of sorted gummy bears and the squid plushie before waddling to their bedroom, slamming the door shut behind him.
"If it'll be like this the complete next eight months I'll probably rent a second apartment.."
Minho only sighed as he ran his hand through his orange hair and tried to tell himself that this was just a mood swing, nothing personal.
Although his omega had always been a little more snappy and moody making living together with him hell sometimes.
But you do crazy things when you love someone.
Jisung's mood didn't get better when the said Friday afternoon arrived, instead Minho was met with a grumpy little wolf already five minutes too late to the appointment.
"Sung, they're waiting. There are other patients too, you know?"
"Yeah, I'm the one to blame for the bus being late, sure."
The omega only sighed, his fluffy ears dropping and Minho could tell by the younger's changing scent that Jisung was actually just scared.
He'd just never admit that.
Just like how the bus wasn't late, he just had to get off midway to puke in a trashcan since his stomach had gotten a lot more sensitive to motions and intense unfamiliar smells.
"Anyway, let's go inside."
The alpha hesitantly took his mate's hand, already preparing himself that Jisung would probably pull his hand away but to his surprise the little omega held rather tightly onto his hand as he waddled slightly behind the older.
Minho had already been inside to apologize for being late so he already got told where to go when his mate had arrived.
The doctor, a kind looking woman in her late forties, had already prepared everything she needed for her new patient and was now preparing a new file for Jisung and the baby.
"Hello, please come in. My name is Shin Yujin and I'll be your doctor during your pregnancy. First of all, if you have any questions or worries, please do not hesitate to give me a call, alright? We gotta make sure baby and parents are as relaxed as possible"
The lady smiled widely when Jisung peeked from behind his alpha's shoulder, his tail wagging in slight uneasiness.
"Thank you so much, Dr Shin. I'm Lee Minho and this is my mate Han Jisung."
"Okay Mr Han, Mr Lee. Please take a seat, I'd like to talk about some general things at first and finish your maternity pass. Please take it with you wherever you go, in case something happens the paramedics are informed about your pregnancy and eventual risks and can help the best as possible."
Jisung nodded softly, his black fluffy ears pointed and his big doe eyes wide open in curiosity, Minho found it adorable.
And he was so glad his little omega was actually interested in what the doctor was telling him about his pregnancy.
He might be a chaotic reckless little pup but he was a mother too, a young omega who was excited about their baby.
