When all else fails

Chapter 13

Carter POV
She was so sexy and I couldn't help but enjoy it when she climbed on top of me and started ripping off my clothes. I loved that she was aggressive and knew what she wanted. Which only made me want to do better. I knew this would be the woman I'd be spending the rest of my life with. So I knew I needed to tell her I had a son and what I do for a living. I felt like I was keeping things from her and she had been completely honest with me. Damn this the only girl who ever had me in my feelings. Was the sex that good? I couldn't even focus on what was going on it was like I was trapped in my thoughts. When I heard Nova calling my name I snapped out of it. "Carter."
"Yeah ma"
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
And with that being said I laid it down like I was supposed to. After tonight I knew she would never leave me.

The next morning I decided we were going out for breakfast. I woke up and got dressed. I went to wake up Nova and she groaned and complained all the way to the bathroom she was not a morning person at all. And that morning breath was something else. I'm joking she was perfect in every way, but she didn't play about her sleep. When she came out of the bathroom we walked outside and hopped in my BMW 750 li. I was surprised she hadn't figured out what I did being that everyone knew me. I was a king pin. When we made it to Cracker Barrel we got our table and sat down.
Conversation
"I have to tell you something." I said nervously because I was afraid of losing her.
"Uhm okay. she said sounding nervous.
"I have a two year old son named Andre. With Tasha."
"Is that the one who says she's pregnant with your child??"
"Yeah but that's beside the point."
"I already know being that I'm Tasha's therapist."
"Are you okay with it?"
"I'm fine you did all this before you got with me so how can I be mad?? Yeah I wish that it was me having your child but it's not soo." She said trailing off.
"I also think you deserve to know what I do for a living."
"Oh okay." she said sounding a little relieved that I was changing the subject.
"Well you know Carter Capone?"
"Yeah the king pin..."
"Well that's me." I said looking down the whole time. I wasn't ashamed of what I did but I wanted to do better for her, and my future family.
"Oh okay uhm I think I'm gonna go I'll talk to you later." she said while getting up.
"Wait. why are you leaving."
"I need to think about some things. When I do I will let you know my decision. So good bye Carter." She said before kissing my lips and walking out.
"Damn I fucked up I should've told her from the jump." I said while rubbing my hands over my face.
