"Macaque was hurt and was looking for water, since he was starving and thirsty after another human village that found him repulsive and thought of him as curse. Throwing stones and sticks at him. He of course left, but he was now thirsty and hungry. That's when he spotted a girl, she sat by the river underneath a willow tree."

Macaque looked down at the river and noticed a girl. She had white hair, her clothes were dark purple, white, and lavender.

He was going to walk away to avoid more conflict. Instead he stepped on a stick causing a snap loud enough for her to hear,
"Hello?" the girl called looking over, Macaque stopped and stared making eye contact.
"Hello," he said, not completely sure why, he just did. She smiled slightly,
"Hello there, where are you headed to?" they asked, the thing was she wasn't entirely looking at him. Macaque was confused, also why she wasn't scared or repulsed. Until he got closer and noticed her eyes.

She was blind.

Macaque cleared his throat,
"Nowhere I just need water," he explained,
"Ah I see...are you hurt?" they asked,
"how did you..?" she chuckled,
"I may be blind but I have a great sense of smell, I can smell your blood...which sounds a lot scarier when I say it out loud.." Macaque laughed.
"It does, feels like your going to drink my blood or something!" They both laughed,
"I am Liǔ, what about you?"
"Macaque."
"Hm, that name sounds..."
"scary?"
"I was going to say mystical! Like the night."
"oh...wait-"
"I lost my sight when I was 14, I remember what the night looked like, Macaque," Liu explained nudging his arm, he hissed in pain,
"Oh! Right right. I'm sorry, are you alright? Did I hurt you bad?"
"No no it's fine I'm..." Maxaque trailed off as Liu touched his arm gently. Liu touched the wound causing Macaque to flintch,
"I'm sorry, here can you wait here for a few minutes?" Liu asked. Macaque thought for a moment, 'what could they be getting?'
"sure?" he said, she smiled quickly grabbing her stick to guide her and started most likely back home.

Macaque waiting about 15 minutes before she came back. She came back with a box,
"Macaque?" she called,
"uh- over here!" he called back, she smiled walking towards him. When she got close Macaque tapped her stick to tell her he was there. She sat down, a little further from Macaque on accident but instead of telling her he scooted closer to her. Quiet enough for her not to notice,
"Can I see your arm?" she asked, Macaque scooted closer again gently lifting his wrist to their hand. She gently pulled his arm closer to her feeling for the wound. He hissed at the pain again when they touched the wound and began to clean it.

Liu patched up his wounds cleaning them all in the process. She smelled her hands noticing the blood on them still and began to wash them. "Make sure to replace your bandages every week or so," Liu reminded,
"Uh..thank you," Macaque said. Liu looked where his voice came and smiled,
"It's no problem at all, and you don't owe me anything. All I ask is you try to be more careful next time." Macaque stared for a moment in almost complete disbelief.

How could someone be so kind, for nothing in return as well.

Once they finished washing their hands, she dried her hands on her dress. Macaque was intrigued by Liu so he decided to stay longer. They talked until the sun had set but it only felt like an hour. Macaque walked her home making sure she was alright. Liu thanked him and gave him a hug as well. Macaque was so shocked, he didn't get a chance to hug back, she just went inside.

Macaque walked around the forest, she was so kind, and gentle, didn't judge, or ask too many questions it was strange. For all she knew he was an enemy to her village. But she still was kind, and so gentle. They could melt even the most coldest of hearts.
