Chapter 28

Crosshair didn't utter a word as the man reached to place a hand on the marksman’s hip. Fives turned only to gasp he went to move when Crosshair sent him a 'I've got this' signal. Fives nodded, turning back to his task but keeping a sharp eye on his silent best-friend.

"I told your partner to keep his bitch in check but it seems he can't keep you in line so it must be up to me to do it!" The man said tightening his grip on Crosshair leaving finger marks, the marksman only smirked. 

"Why are you smirking? Are you really enjoying this bitch? Or should I call you something else? Maybe slut goes better, hmm…argh!"

A giant loud bang made Fives turn around to see the man's body was slumped on the floor and he was holding his chest in agony. Crosshair only glared down at him, the man squirmed. It only took Crosshair five minutes to work out the man had five broken ribs and all it took was one accurate hand to find one and essentially twist it causing pain for the big man. 

Leaning down Crosshair grabbed the man's head, "Listen here, I am not your bitch or anyone's. So do me a favour, go back to your bed, shut your mouth and legs and don't say a word for the rest of the night. Oh and if you dare hurt the boy anymore than what you already have, I will kill you right here right now because if I'm right about my suspicions about who you are. Trust me if we were alone, you would be dead right now" Crosshair snarled, the man gulped. Fives watched him scurry back to his bunk, Fives turned back around only to hear a groan. He whipped around to see the man had Crosshair in a choke hold against the wall.

"Listen here you little bitch, I don't know how the hell you think you are but you will not speak to me like you are all high and mighty…"

"Mason! Put him down now! I will not ask again!" Commander Fox's voice came from the cell doorway where some of the guards were aiming weapons at the big man who was named Mason. Fives gasped, the young boy was clinging to his leg not that Fives minded. At least he was out from under the bed. 

Mason sighed, "fine but you will regret you words, you are nothing but…!" He soon found himself tasered. Fox stood above him. "Move this heap of shit! Mason, I have told you time and time again not to harass others!" Another guard yelled out. 

"But he was a bitch!"

"You did not! Do you not know who he and his partner are?!" 

"No, why are they someone special?"

"They are the ones who killed the senator"

"What! And you left my son with them!" 

Fox sighed, halting the argument, he looked in the cell and muttered, "At least he is safer than he is with you as Crosshair confirmed what you are?" 

"And that is, wait, who's Crosshair?" Mason asked, turning to the cell to see the marksman smirking at him and Fives smiling. 

"Your sentence has been lengthened since you are now and officially will be a child rapist!" A guard yelled out. Fives recognised the guy as Dusty. 

Once Mason was escorted away, Fox returned to the cell with Dusty, "Will you two keep an eye on him until his mother returns?" Fox asked. Fives only nodded while Crosshair smirked. Fox walked away with Dusty following him. There were a few Coruscant Guards undercover with Fox and Dusty was included.

Once the guard left Fives turned to the young boy in his arms. "What's your name?" He asked gently, Crosshair was still leaning heavily against the wall.
