Chapter 23: The Three Deities

Mikey's POV

"What's up, boss?" Koko asked.

"It's pouring tonight. I've got a bad feeling," I said.

Y/N how are you doing? I see your face all over Japan, you are definitely the talk of the town. But from what I heard you aren't as happy as you were before. Is it because of me? 

I'm sorry Y/N, I had to do this. I need to stay away from you so you'll no longer throw yourself onto dangerous situations.

I miss seeing you more than anything in my life. Why can't I just live with Shin, Emma, and Izana? I miss the days when the boys and I will ride while you'll also there with us. Even though you say that you are not actually part of Toman you always cared for us more than the people in the gang.

I love you so very much and I wish to protect you more than anything. Even if I have to stay far away from you to protect you.

Y/N's POV

Luckily the death of Ryuguji Ken did not happen. He's still alive thanks to the bulletproof vest I gave him. However, he's currently in the hospital. He's alive but it's going to leave a bruise and he probably has some broken ribs as well. I'm sorry Ken... 

Flashback

"He's still alive thanks to the bulletproof vest!" One of the emergency medical technicians said. 

I couldn't help but feel as though my legs were going to give out. Both Senju and Shin held my arms so I wouldn't collapse onto the floor. 

"Onee-chan are you okay?" Senju asked me with worried eyes.

"I'm fine Senju but thank you," I gave her a small smile. 

End of Flashback

But now the three deities have all come together to battle. If I don't do something in this fight South's actually going to die and I have a plan for this. 

"Hanagaki, take care of Brahman's Princess and my Queen for me," Wakasa left not without giving me a kiss on my forehead. "I'll be fine Y/N-chan, don't worry about me." 

......

Senju was now fighting South by herself and I can't help but bite my nails while watching her fight him. Just then Kakucho was flown towards them and Mikey appeared behind South. His eyes were pure white and you could tell he was no longer himself. 

South had no idea but he was actually getting beaten by Mikey. Just then Takemichi put himself between the two of them trying to stop Mikey only for his arms to be broken by him. 

It was time for my plan before Mikey could hurt South even more I kicked South far away from the scene and towards his gang members. 

"That's enough 'dark impulses' for today don't you think so, curse?" I asked. Mikey slowly walked towards me and tried kicking me but fortunately, I was able to dodge his attack and I countered it instead which resulted in him getting thrown back a good few meters away from everyone. This of course surprised many eyes so I decided to check on South. "He's still alive. He'll live but may fall into a coma since he overdid it this time," I told his subordinates. 

Just then I could see Mikey kicking Takeomi which resulted in Takemichi stepping up to try and save him. "Mikey, that's enough okay?! We're retreating!" Koko voiced out. 

"Now then how do you want to die?" Mikey ignored Hajime. 

This Mikey feels even more different than the Mikey I saw in the manga meaning he may just kill Takemichi. I'm going to use my trump card which I was hoping that I wouldn't have to use today but I guess I have no choice.

"Mikey, do you remember when you gave me this necklace?" I started while holding onto his fists. "You told me that you always wanted to get me something and when you saw this necklace you thought it would have been so perfect for me. I wear this every day remembering the days when the Tokyo Manjiro's Gang was still a thing and we would fight other gangs. You always tried to force me to officially join the gang but each time I would refuse. We had our ups and downs but it always ended up with you and I forgetting about what we even fought about. Don't you miss this too?! Do you really want to kill your friend? Do you want me to become afraid of you?" 

His eyes started turning back to normal and I couldn't help but feel guilty at the fact that I manipulated him. However, I couldn't bear to watch when I just witnessed that what happened in the manga might not have happened. 

Mikey was retreating while I locked eyes with Haru signalling to him that I'll deal with him later.
