Luke continued to stand near the middle of the dining hall along with Annie and Annabeth. He was hurt, but mostly embarrassed. He didn't understand why Annabeth seemed to hate him so much.

"Does she know about the plan?" He was trying to convince himself that the idea was ridiculous, but the more he thought about it, it seemed possible.

The thing that he admired and hated most about Annabeth was that she had a thirst for knowledge, she always needed to have the answers. It was cute most of the time, when her face would light up and her eyes would sparkle as she asked her question, but sometimes it would just get plain annoying.

He crossed his arms over his chest and glanced around. All of the demigods in the pavilion had inched closer to the older Annabeth and Percy. They seemed to want to hear the conversation.

"Percy, Percy, Percy..." Luke was bitter with jealousy, "It now seems to be always about him. After all," Luke thought, "He's just an unclaimed camper."

Luke was jolted out of his thoughts when he heard Annabeth say something about Percy's appearance. He took a step closer to Annie, because she was closer to the pair, and saw that Percy still had his face stuffed with food.

"That idiot, all he cares about is food." The corners of Luke's mouth turned down into a small frown. He didn't bother listening to what Percy said next, for Luke knew that it was probably something stupid.

In an attempt to cool his thoughts, he glanced down at Annie. She had a bewildered expression on her face and seemed to be starting at Annabeth's torso.

"What are you looking at Annie?" He asked her in a quiet voice. He was relieved when she smiled up at him and answered, "Oh, I was just wondering why I would be wearing that hoodie."

Luke followed her gaze to look at the hoodie future Annabeth was wearing. He didn't notice it earlier, and now that he actually looked at it, it seemed to have the words Goode Swim Team.

"Isn't Goode a highschool in Brooklyn? Why would she be on the swim team, though? Annie can't swim well."

Luke cleared his throat to interrupt the conversation between future Annabeth and Percy. Percy stopped talking and Annabeth turned around to face him, an annoyed expression flashed across her face before she replaced it with a small smile. No one noticed except for Luke.

"Yes, Luke?" Her voice was tight and strained.

Luke took a step forward, "Why are you wearing a swim team hoodie? You don't swim." He asked confidently, trying not to sound rude.

Will elbowed Nico in the side as Nico coughed and cleared his throat, trying to mask his laughter.

The future Annabeth tilted her head in confusion before remembering that she was wearing Percy's hoodie. She looked down at the words and blushed a little bit. "Oh, this is my boyfriend's hoodie."

Beside Luke, Annie choked on her spit from the shock. She coughed a couple of times and then strangled out, "What?"

"Annabeth Chase has a boyfriend?" Someone called out from the crowd. Since Annabeth's been at camp for a while, most of the half-bloods knew her. It was a surprise that she was dating someone.

At those words, Luke's stomach twisted and he felt this overwhelming feeling of jealousy. He's had a crush on Annabeth for a couple of years now, and it was only growing. He felt his blood boil, and he had the urge to strangle anyone who even touched her. He knew that was extreme, but he couldn't help himself.

Luke subtly took a step closer to Annie, so now they were almost side by side. She didn't notice Luke coming closer, for she was still processing the information she just received, but Nico, Will and Annabeth did.
