Her husband was pissed off; if it weren't for his plan to coerce Lisa and the hospital, he probably wouldn't even show his face at the hospital.

If he knew that his wife would bear him another girl, he would not have knelt and begged that little nurse to save her that night.

He felt cheated, and after he was enlightened by a 'wise person', he immediately thought that it would be a good idea.

Therefore, he and the patient's family teamed up to cause trouble at the hospital, just so they would receive a giant compensation.

"How did it go?" the head nurse asked when she saw Lisa walk out of the patient's room.

Lisa shook her head, "They're determined to get the hospital to pay."

"Don't worry too much, Director Jung will resolve things when he comes back," the head nurse comforted her.

Lisa nodded. After saying goodbye to the head nurse, she headed back to the lab.

The OB/GYN department was unusually quiet these days; apparently, Krystal took some time off and hadn't been to work in days.

She seemed to be extremely unhappy with her punishment, but Director Jung had already made his decision.

He told her that if she didn't want to stay, she was free to resign. She and her uncle were in a cold war.

Kai, on the other hand, was indifferent towards her since she rejected his request.

Not long after Lisa returned to the lab did she realize that it was time to go home.

Chief of the lab walked up and quietly warned her, "Lisa, you should leave from the back door today."

"What wrong?" puzzled, Lisa asked Chief.

"When I went out just now, I saw those unreasonable family members outside the door. If they see you, they might do something impulsive. I think it's safer for you to leave from the back door."

Liaa nodded. "Okay, I'll leave from the back door then. Thank you, Chief."

"Don't mention it, and don't revel in it too much, the director will definitely do something about it. They won't get anything from causing a scene out there."

"Okay."

Lisa packed up her things and left the hospital from the back door with Wonyoung.

Their Chief was right; it was much quieter to leave from the back door.

Lisa, her mind a mess, decided to walk home. It took her about 15 minutes to get back to Imperial Park.

It was still early, so their condo was empty. Jungkook wasn't back yet.

Lisa put down her bag. Exhausted, she fell onto the couch and closed her eyes to rest for a bit.

Suddenly, she remembered something. She took out her phone and called Chaeyoung, but her phone was off.

Nervous, she logged onto WeChat. As soon as she did, she saw Chaeyoung's message.

"Girl, I'm at work. I'm flying south today, don't worry about me."

Lisa was relieved that Chaeyoung went to work...

She thought about what happened at the hospital today and began developing a headache.

Her mind ran wild, and she completely forgot about making dinner.

It wasn't until she heard the sound of the door unlocking and Jungkook entering did she snap back to reality.

"You're home? I'll go make dinner," Lisa said as she headed towards the kitchen.

When she passed by Jungkook, he grabbed her hand.

"You don't look well."

"Oh, it was really busy today, I think I'm just too tired," Lisa replied vaguely.

"Then don't make dinner, let's go out to eat."

"I don't have much of an appetite, but you can go out for some food yourself."

"It's fine, I'm not hungry either. Forget dinner, let's rest for a while." Before Lisa could respond, Jungkook dragged her to the couch and had her sit.

Then, Jungkook took out an apple from the fridge for Lisa. He turned on the TV and randomly picked a channel.

Afterwards, he took off his suit jacket and took out his laptop. He then began working beside her.

Lisa didn't want to eat. She held the apple Jungkook gave her, and, to overcome with boredom, began watching TV.

They didn't speak to each other, as Jungkook was focused on his company's reports and stocks.

Lisa, on the other hand, stared at the TV screen as the apple sat quietly in her hands.

They quietly felt the time pass by.

Lisa occasionally looked at Jungkook's perfect profile; her heart was filled with warmth.

She liked and enjoyed his companionship...

However, she constantly felt like their relationship was in crisis mode. She didn't believe that they would be able to spend the rest of their lives together.

It seemed that the tragedy that happened seven years ago made sure that their relationship would be forever burdened with heavy baggage.

Jungkook, sensing Lisa's stare, suddenly turned his face towards her. Looking into her eyes, he asked, "Are you enjoying your show?"

"Take a look at it for yourself."

Jungkook looked up and froze...

It was the cartoon, Bonnie Bear.

"You can switch channels if you want to," he said.

"No, it's fine, I like this show."

Jungkook was speechless upon hearing Lisa's response.

He truly found it hard to believe that someone with an IQ as high as 130 would watch a children's cartoon show.

After Jungkook worked for another hour, he turned off his laptop.

He looked at Lisa, who appeared exhausted. Giving some thought, he asked her, "Do you want to go on a vacation together?"

"A vacation?" Lisa was dazed.
