Lunch was around two thousand won, so it was generous of Kai to give her five thousand. She might as well take it since it was given to her.

At that thought, Lisa headed back to the OB/GYN department.

Right before the end of the day, the head nurse walked in, followed by a young woman.

Lisa was not unfamiliar with the woman as she was none other than the Hospital Director's niece – Krystal.

"Listen up everybody. This is our department's new chief. She will be seeing patients every Friday. Please cooperate with Dr. Krystal Jung."

"Yes Ma'am," a few nurses responded immediately.

"Come here, Wonyoung. From now on, you will be Dr. Krystal's assistant," the head nurse said.

However, Krystal smiled and said, "Head Nurse, I want Lisa to be my assistant."

"You know Lisa, Dr. Jung?" the head nurse asked with surprise.

"Yes, I know her." Krystal smiled, but the smile looked rather crooked.

Lisa was surprised as well; she didn't think Krystal would say that.

"Okay, if that's the case, Lisa, you can be Dr. Jung's assistant. Do a good job." The head nurse patted Lisa on the shoulder.

"I will, Head Nurse." Lisa nodded.

Once settled, Lisa looked at the clock and proceeded to the changing room. It was almost time to go home.

"Lisa ." Krystal chased after her as Lisa was heading out.

"Yes, Dr. Jung?"

"I have an academic seminar later and need to gather some reports. You need to stay behind to print them for me," Krystal said matter-of-factly.

Lisa thought about it for a moment...

"There are people in the office who are responsible for printing and photocopying, this is not within my job scope," Lisa said calmly.

"You are my assistant. Do as you are told, or else... I have the right to fire you, you know?" Krystal was still smiling, clearly very pleased with herself.

"So you are giving me a hard time because of Kai?" Lisa asked directly.

"I didn't think you were so quick-witted. I heard that you're Kai's ex-girlfriend?"

"Wrong. I'm his ex-ex-girlfriend. His ex-girlfriend is Dahyun. Looks like your information isn't up to date." Lisa smiled.

"Who does Dahyun think she is? She's nothing more than a toy. I heard you've been with Kai for several years, and you guys were planning to get married, correct?" Krystal asked provokingly.

"Yes." Lisa nodded.

"What a shame, it looks like that's not happening in your lifetime. Kai likes me now. He said he reluctantly accepted to going out with you because you shamelessly courted him for several years. You guys didn't even sleep together, right? He even said that he had no desire to touch you whenever he saw your face."

Lisa smiled politely.

"What are you smiling about?" Krystal asked, feeling annoyed.

"Is that what he told you?" Lisa asked.

"Isn't it true?"

"Oh yes. Everything he said is true." Lisa was too lazy to explain.

"See, I knew you were a woman with terrible character. I wonder why my uncle's hospital doesn't bother to check people's moral standings before hiring them. It's so annoying that they hire just about anyone."
