This chapter doesn't belong to the timeline of the fanfic, I just wanted to write something about Lily, so....

『 °*- ღ -*°』

Her perception of herself changed every day.

Some mornings she saw her ginger hair, her pair of green eyes and had a curvaceous build; those days were good, because she allowed herself to put on a little extra makeup, roll her skirt a few inches above her knee and smile more freely.

The problem came in the evenings when she felt like shit. These were usually caused by a bad grade, being teased or her period. This whole chain of events ended in a catastrophic result the next day.

She saw in the mirror a disgusting person; fat, with greasy hair, a very wide nose, thin lips and the only thing she rescued was her eyes. Her eyes were always beautiful.

That's why when James, in first grade (but more insistent since third grade), told her how beautiful she was, she didn't believe it.

She was aware that she was not the only girl who felt the same complexes. Trying diets, but with Hogwarts food it was impossible to skip dessert. Anxiously searching for some spell, potion. To make them look beautiful.

I thought it was impossible. That magic only provided an illusion. But while trying to find an answer to her extra potion's homework, she found the one that would be her "salvation".

With only fifteen, she began to prepare it secretly in the women's bathroom on the 1st floor. The Moaning Myrtle, used to sneak around and tell her how anxious she was to know the final result of the potion and, without knowing how, the two girls became good friends.

Within a month, she had more than ten doses of the slimming potion. Her weight was the biggest complex of all. With a few extra pounds, a round face and thick legs.

She drank the potion and felt as if tickled all over her body. Her clothes grew wider, and she looked at herself in the mirror.

It had been at least twenty kilograms, because she looked like a very different person. She grabbed her things and ran into the women's room, so she could appreciate her skin.

She was like the models in Mary's magazines. According to the description, she slimmed you down enough weight to stay at the healthy minimum. With her finger she brushed her collarbone and for the first time as she lifted her arm she met her own ribs; she didn't help but smile as she noticed her cheekbones and more defined jawline.

To Lily, she was now beautiful.

She rummaged through Mary's clothes and pulled out a spare uniform for her. It was long on her (because she was much taller than Lily) but at least her size fit her body better. He caught the sides with clips and prepared to leave.

The reaction was not as expected. As she entered the dining room, she felt the first stares and when she sat down at the table her friends stopped eating instantly.

2Lily, is that you?" Marlene asked. Lily nodded, biting her lip when she saw the food "Wow... you look different."

"I don't know how, but you look very thin."

The girls began to ask her secret and she smiled. But she watched out of the corner of her eye as both Snape and James came almost running up to her stall.

Both boys, who for the moment stopped their rivalry, exclaimed:

"Lily, are you all, right? You're not sick, are you?"

"No, I'm not" Lily concluded, rolling her eyes.

"What did you take?" Snape questioned nervously. "It's not healthy to lose so much weight all at once, even if it's a potion!"

The boy grabbed her slender wrist. Lily pouted her lips, before letting go.

"I know what I'm doing, Severus" she replied, "Leave me alone."

"Look at your wrists! "Snape pointed to them, sliding down his shirt. "The slimming potions only have an effect on fat, but it's leaving you in the bones." Lily slapped him and felt James put his hand on her shoulder, "Let's go to the nurse's office! Don't be silly."

Full of anger she stood up and shouted at him with her eyes in tears.

"It's easy for you to say that because you're already thin! Leave me alone, Severus!"

Without any further ado, she turned and started walking back, so enraged that she didn't notice Remus arriving laden with texts. The two collided causing the books to fall, but far from picking them up, Lupin looked at her for a moment before holding her head and hugging her. The girl entwined her arms around Remus' back and began to cry.

Sirius, who was watching everything behind Remus, picked up the books, and without a word, took the books away; gesturing to James who was leaving in search of the girl.

Thanks to Remus, Lily stopped crying and turned to James. Her friend wiped away her tears and smiled awkwardly.

"Do you want to talk, Lily?" James dared to speak, looking at the floor.

"No, James" she replied, grabbing Remus's sleeve, "Just Lupin, okay?"

He made up his mind that he was leaving Lily in good hands, and they both started walking.

All of what they talked about was never known. Only fragments of conversation that they would tell in the future. Lily and Remus shared a chocolate, as they wandered around the yard in total tranquility. Neither returned until the next day, with Lily the same as before and the pair with a demanding hunger.

"Lily, you're beautiful, but I know you don't see yourself the way I see you" Remus said. "I know I could say empty words of self-love to you, though I probably won't even apply the first one."

Lupin turned and cut another piece of chocolate.

"Living is complicated for all of us, so if we start worrying about something as variant as looks alone, we'll be wasting our time. And I don't think you'd want to add any more problems to your schedule, would you?"

"You're a bloody philosopher Lupin."

"Nah.... Only, I'm a gay werewolf, with more scars than I can count, and who adores her friend, not because of the way she looks, but because she was the first to see right through me. Remember what you told me?"

"That you were still my friend even though you were a werewolf?"

"Lily, I'll still be your friend, even if death tries to separate us" he concluded, grabbing Lily's arm, "but I'll never forgive you if you remain stubborn, so.... Let's go to the nursery!"

Of my favorite headcanon and the only fancast I differ from, is Lily's. Plus size Lily is the best thing that ever happened to me. I love her.
