I was helping Grandma with gardening when Lewis just happened to drop by.

"Hey, Lewis, what's goin' on?" I wondered as I stopped raking the soil.

There was a grim expression on his face. I wondered if Charlotte suspected something. I should know. Each time I went out and about in town, I've seen the two of them together. Though, I could tell there was something else bothering him.

"Hey, Zoey, is your grams available?" Lewis asked, "I need to ask her something."

"I'm already here, Lewis," Grandma smiled as she pulled off her gardening gloves and came over to us, "How can I help you?"

"I was told you were able to figure out other people's dreams and what they meant."

"That was when I was taking up oneriology, a form of psychology, but more in the study of scientific dreaming. Has something troubled you as of late?"

I figured Lewis' explanation was more personal to him. Grandma was the type that people felt comfortable with opening up about private matters.

"I keep having this dream where I'm at the beach and Cleo arrives there in her mermaid form and people nearby see her while I try to stop them from taking any pictures of her. She told me that she missed me," he expressed, "It felt so real."

"Have you called or talked with Cleo recently?" Grandma wondered.

"Not since I've been going out with Charlotte."

"There's nothing wrong with that. I think your dream has something to do with not having been in contact with Cleo as often. Even though you're seeing another girl, it can't hurt to spend some time together, as mates."

"Charlotte would suspect that."

"Let her know that you have a right to decide on what you want to do. Though, I believe there is this part of you that still cherishes Cleo. Go and talk to her and arrange a time to spend the day together."

Grandma has always been great at reading people and could tell how a person was feeling with a simple glance.

"Thanks, Mrs. Shaw," Lewis nodded, "I might do that."

Rikki and Ash contacted me to help them find a surprise gift for Emma who was selected as employee of the month by Ash. They told me not to say anything to Emma who was beginning to question Ash and Rikki's behaviors.

Emma soon asked me what was going on after seeing me talking with them, but I kept my lips sealed assuring her that Ash was still into her when she started assuming that Rikki was hitting on him.

Ash, Rikki, and I went into town to get Emma's gifts. Though I didn't spoil the surprise, I felt bad for leaving Emma angry. Once she got her gifts, she'll understand the truth.

We got back to the cafe after getting the gifts. Ash hid the basket behind his back as the three of us entered inside.

"Emma, can I have a word?" Ash wondered.

"So now you wanna talk?" Emma asked sounding mad at him, "Don't you think it's a bit late for that?"

"Actually--"

"Don't even try to explain. I know what's going on."

"Oh, well, I guess this won't be much of a surprise then."

Ash revealed the gift basket that we had spent time putting together, "This is for you."

Emma approached it curiously.

"There's a card," he added, "Read it."

She picked up the card and read it, "To Emma. Thanks for all your hard work." She glanced at Ash, "Employee of the month?"

All of the staff and customers applauded.

"Yep. I had no idea what to get you. Rikki and Zoey were both a great help," Ash explained

"Check it out. There's even a movie ticket. Or two. Right Ash?" Rikki smiled.

"Just in case you want to take somebody," he added.

"Don't forget, there's even a couple of gift cards," I jumped in.

"That's really thoughtful. Thanks," Emma nodded, "I had no idea. When I saw you two together I thought-- never mind."

"Wait. What did you think we were doing?" Ash wondered.

"Nothing."

Emma didn't want to admit that she thought Ash and Rikki were hitting on each other and that I knew all about it. We decided to let it slide.

Later on, Lewis contacted me telling me he was able to get some time with Cleo. It started when Elliot asked him for some advice on girls since showing interest in Kim, who just had him do her homework. Next, Elliot wanted to take Kim out to someplace exciting, which ended up being the marine park and Cleo went with them as a chaperone as suggested by Mr. Sertori. Elliot had Lewis come along wanting some more advice.

It turned out Kim used Elliot to buy her stuff. The poor kid was nearly broke. At the end of the day, Elliot ended up breaking things off with Kim seeing her selfishness.

Not only that, during their time at the marine park, Cleo and Lewis were able to talk a bit recalling the times they had before the breakup. Plus, Cleo accidentally got splashed by a speedboat and she had to dive into the lagoon. Lewis intervened as a crowd of people started to get curious about something orange in the water, which brought Lewis' dream to life. He stopped it from coming true by diving in and helping Cleo hide by pulling out a large orange polar bear plushie that Kim threw in for her self-seeking purposes. Lewis ended up getting thrown out of the park for stupid behavior which he felt was better than Cleo ending up as a permanent exhibit if exposed.
