A new member????

"Cassie?!" I called out the person's name in recognisation.

"Cassie? Is that the person's name?" Paimon asked, slowly showing herself to the person I call 'Cassie'.

"Miss Aiko? Miss Kathlyne? Everyone? What are all of you doing here with all the weapons and stuff??" She asked in large confusion. Everyone else put away their weapons while I explained a bit.

"There were stuff going on here, and thanks to a paper, we were able to know that you were going," I said, raising the paper and flapping it. "It's just that since the paper didn't specify who would come out of the portal, they got ready with defence and all just in case the person is a bad guy of sorts."

"Right..." Cassie said, nodding a bit on what I just said. "And what exactly happened here, Miss Kathlyne?"

"First of all, don't call her by 'Miss Kathlyne' and only 'Kathlyne," I said firstly. "And second of all, Kathlyne isn't exactly here and instead the creator of her." I then approached her, glaring at her as a sort of sign.

"Kathlyne's creator? Don't you mean..." she then thought a bit on what I meant (which is quite dumb of you, miss) and realized what I have just said.

"Wait...Kris?! You're using Kathlyne's body?! How??" She then questioned me, shaking me from the shoulders.

"I don't know!" I replied, with each word sounding wobbly. "Maybe the archons just gave me some luck on that one...even worse, it was during a freeking good nap!"

"Really?? Wow, so rude of them..." she said, finally releasing me and crossing her arms in a disapproved matter.

"Um...hello..?" Paimon said, calling us out. "Could you explain what's going on here..? Like, how that person named 'Cassie' just called you 'Kris'?"

"Oh, about that..." I said, before facing Cassie. "Could you maybe...explain on how you went here in the first place? Ya know, since you're basically the only one who knew how you literally went here in the first place??"

"Alrighty, then..." she replied, then facing to everyone else. "Let's just start from the beginning, aight? Okay, first of all..."

(Before, in Cassie's past POV)

"Welp, that's done," I said, walking to the exit gate. "Whew, another day of completing school...without them around here..." What I meant were my friends, Sophia and Loreize, not being in school again. How long was it...already a full year? It's surprising how the two of them were gone for a whole year already...both weren't found by the police, dead nor alive yet. With how worried their class teacher and their other teachers being were, it would make sense for them to be more worried since.

While I was thinking of all of that, though, I remembered something else...

Kris hasn't been here too.

Not too long, though. Only around a week...but still, it's so sudden for her to just not attend to school for a week without telling me or Ethan in the group chat...yes, she could went home early, but with what happened in the past, it's most likely not. I shook off that thought for awhile, though, going into my car and going back home.

However, when the car stopped, already through the home gate, a black van went through the gate as well. When I peeked through the van, I saw men in black suit, with all of them wearing sunglasses it seemed. The van then stopped, letting all the men go outside and entering the house. Well, it was more of an apartment than a house.

My mother approached one of the men, asking him something. After awhile, she approached me, telling me what the person had said.

"The man said that they're looking for something around the apartment...he said that they are looking for a sort of portal frame in one of the rooms, but he wasn't exactly sure which room, so they would have to look around the place thoroughly, including ours," she explained. At that rate, I realized something: they would check my room.
